I was in a daze for the rest of the night. it looked SO fucking painful. He is a god damn trooper. For those that weren't there, this fucking guy had his god damn knee shoot entirely out of socket (no joke, you could see it sticking out under the flesh) and he had the drummer from Sexcrement straighten it back into place. then, I'm not kidding, he stood up (eventually - and which also looked incredibly painful) and then sat down and played a whole set while a girl in a madball shirt protected him from the mosh. Mark is a fucking tough ass dude, kudos to him. Dave did an awesome job setting up this show, I was really impressed by the turnout and how enthusiastic people were. The vibe was GREAT and everyone was really cool. I had some nice conversations and saw some old friends. It seemed like everyone and thier mother was at this...Ryan from Phantom Limb, Al Ravage...people I hadn't seen at shows in forever. All the bands were top notch, too. All and all, a whopping success I'd say. |

| _____________________________________________ [Apr 16,2006 8:37pm - MarkFuckingRichards ""] this was definitely a fun show, minus the knee dislocation. devon, our drummer, is one of my favorite people in the world right now since he was willing to help straighten my leg out so i could slide my kneecap back in place. it was pretty fucking brutal. what sucks most is that i dislocated my GOOD knee. my right knee has been dislocated 3 times before. why the fuck couldn't it just have happened to that one dammit?!!! nick, the girl in the madball shirt is my girlfriend erika. she's also a trooper too; she's got 2 herniated discs, with a pinched cyatic nerve. she got thrown down at one point but did an awesome job keeping me out of harm's way. brian dc, thanks a shitlaod man, haha. odwalla makes some good shit, but i favor vitamin water, heh heh. i think my cousin bill got a few good pictures of my knee on the wrong side of my leg, as well as the aftermath. it's swollen like a grapefruit right now...hopefully i'll get some pics up. |
