That is actually the case in NH and everywhere as well. It's because firearms are federally regulated and using "recreational" drugs makes you ineligible to purchase or own them. Same with involuntary mental health hospitalizations, domestic violence charges, felonies, etc. It's not necessarily the states fault that medical users lose their 2A, it's definitely more an issue of the fed being overbearing. Most states also prohibit carrying a firearm while drinking as well. Not that it really stops anyone. |
