IMO here are some of the top dilemmas facing the fantasy football draft this year: - Running backs. Besides the elites: Tomlinson, Westbrook and Peterson (all of which had consistency/durability issues last season) there aren't a lot of clear choices. I'm seeing Frank Gore (huge disappointment last season), Larry Johnson (same thing but everyone knew he would fizzle out), and Clinton Portis (put up some ridiculous numbers sporadically) high up on a lot of rankings. But all 3 of them have huge question marks. - McNabb is ranked pretty high in quite a few rankings, and everyone seems to be saying this is his year. Given how injury prone he is it's tough to trust it though. - Derek Anderson.... 2 awesome years in a row? I dunno. - Mathew Berry has David Garrard ranked as the #9 quarterback. Who's he going to throw it to? Not to mention the Jags are a team overwhelmingly geared towards running the ball. Unless Yahoo counts handoffs as a score-able stat I'm not buying it. - LOL @ Giants fans and anyone who owns Eli Manning after Umenyiora went down for the season. Good luck getting any significant time of possession with the best player on your defense gone. - For the second year in a row the Chicago Bears draft stock is way too high. They were ranked in the top 5 last year by a lot of people and coughed up 350+ yards per game, and were 16th in the NFL in Points allowed. |
