3 HEADED MONSTER, BANE OF EXISTENCE, WRECKLESS INTENT, GOODNIGHT FLIGHT AND SACRELIGION 9/2 AT GOODTIMES[views:45342][posts:121]Goodtimes Emporium (Somerville, Ma) - [3_headed_monster][bane_of_existence][good_night_flight][randomshots][sacreligion][wreckless_intent] [show listing] _________________________________ [Sep 3,2005 2:07pm - Cecchini ""] It didnt seem very echo-y to me personally. I think it was more just how big of a room it was and stuff not much you can do to help that. Hahah yea i want to hear Revs opinion our set... Or anyones opinion on our set. |
________________________________________ [Sep 3,2005 2:08pm - Kessaris V 2.0 ""] I personally thought that all the bands were cool and I had a good time at the show last night. I was pretty drunk so thanks to wreckless intent for singing with me to symphony of destruction...I don't sing, and last night was the reason why. I'm not totally against 3HM having a singer, I just want the singer to be like...Matt Barlow or Tim Owens esc. I want an amazing singer or no singer at all. As for the other bands, I hope you all witnessed me punish the rest of my band by making them all victims of the Masterlock...the greatest finisher in wrestling since...Shawn Michael's old finisher, the back suplex thing he did for like 3 weeks. Yea. FALL VICTIM TO THE MASTERLOCK! |
________________________________________ [Sep 3,2005 2:10pm - SacreligionNLI ""] the masterlock has nothing on the katahajime |
_________________________________ [Sep 3,2005 2:15pm - Cecchini ""] I prefer the Vikings old finisher of where he picked people up and tossed them out of the ring and got the count out win. |

_____________________________________ [Sep 3,2005 3:02pm - the_reverend ""] bane of existence: so this was my first time seeing them with the new lineup. Actually, it was their first show too. It took doug's vocals a while to warm up...er... Wait, that must be some auto-insert thing on my keyboard. Watching them, I sort of though I was back at the palladium in 2000 seeing a show. First off, the new singer, dusty, sounded sick. Compared to dougs vocals, they sounded pretty different. I think dusty had a larger range (higher hi's and lower lows) than doug, but a lot of the vocals that doug would do just came out as gutterals. not that it's too bad of a thing, but I think that it will be especially hard to understand those parts. the difference is my mind is trying to understand the lyrics in goratory as compared to the lyrics in jungle rot. the 2 new members up the long-haired headbanging of this band from 1 to 3. plus, the new 2 guys are able to head bang like 90% of the time too. at some point, jim's guitar cut out or something. I'm not sure what happened, but it took him out of it for 1/2 a song. when jim was out, you could only hear the low end (I'm guessing that's the rhythm part of the songs). out of all the band, the new guys seemed pretty relaxed and not stressed to be playing. I think that jim was the most nervous out of all of them. 3 headed monster: for the person that I said something about yngwie too, I meant satriani. anyhow, they were rediculous with all the guitar masturbation going on on that stage. after their smash hit "raising kubrick", the song that they tried to play by megadeth would have been better if anyone knew the words to it. the guys from wreckless intent tried to get up there and help by singing too. after all their tomfoolary during the wreckless intent set, those guys fooled around on the stage during 3hm. I think they got screwed on the smoke dept. for some reason, I think that all the fog was used up engulfing mikey in fog for most of boe's set. oh, and 3hm's drummer wore a nappy wig for the whole set... wow... they tired to continue playing passed their time, but got cut off. |

I especially liked the 4 hour drive home through the back roads of boston. It is now official: Boston does not allow anyone to use the highways at night anymore. |
_____________________________________ [Sep 3,2005 3:15pm - the_reverend ""] d'uh. last trip home from the middle east for me took me like 2.5 hrs for a 1.1hr drive. |
