hey everyone, i got another show ready for the Box of Knives! heres the info:
Saturday, October 4th
GORATORY (return of MA's most brutal death metal band!!!!!!)
ASCENDANCY (death metal)

doors at 8:30pm, show at 9:00pm

directions:
Get onto 95 South, and just keep driving, until you hit Providence, RI
You’ll wanna get over to the right lanes, and when Providence Place Mall is coming up on the left, they’ll be an exit, 22, that splits into three lanes – take 22B, which brings you onto route 6, and stay to the right lanes.
When route 6 starts to curve to the right (it becomes 6A), stay all the way over to the right lane and take the Hartford Ave. exit.
You will see a big club called sanctuary at the end of the off-ramp, stay to the right, and you should pass Westminster Autobody on the right, and the road will curve over to the right, and end with a stoplight in front of a building plastered with Uniroyal signs. At that light, take a LEFT.
Go past the Olneyville NY System Wieners, and through the next set of lights. Soon you will see a car wash on your right side, take a RIGHT onto the street that’s right before it.
Go to the end of the street (its like 100 feet long), and take a LEFT. At the intersection that comes up, take a RIGHT. You are now on Troy St.
Just drive down the road and you will see a parking lot on the left – park in there, 71 is right across the street.

Mike doesnt want people like that at the Box of Knives. we dont want this to a be a shitty diy club thats known for beer and dies off in a few months. we genuinely want this place to become a haven for metal, and for people to come out, meet each other, make friends, start bands and the like. thats the only reason we have this sort of "high school kegger" feel - to break down the walls, give metal bands a place to play and give metal fans a chance to meet each other...really tighten up the scene where alot of people act too cool for one another.
and those punk kids, theyre basically the antithesis of everything we want. they dont like metal, dont like the people, only want to get hammered and leave...in my eyes theyre a completely negative and un-necessary element that doesnt belong there. and i will not let them come in and ruin this.

Unforutately, the triggers on the drums were tooooo low. I wish they could have been chest shaking but it wasn't. they got devon from tyag to sing along with them on one song as 5+ kids beat the piss out of each other in the crowd.

mmm! so so so good, im all giddy like a schoolgirl. and maaaaaad props to al for hookin me up with a goratory shirt! it both scared and confused my mommy and daddy, so shirt = winner! plus im hoping cute girls at school come up to me and ask me what it means, haha.
an extra-special thanks to the rev and his lady for takin the long haul down to thier favorite neighborhood, you rule.
but yeah, thanks so much to everybody for coming out, im glad you guys liked the pizza, sorry the keg got killed, devon you left your mudslides in the fridge, adam im soooooo sorry you had to leave before goratory-i'll see if anyone i know has video of it, wireless equipment kicks fucking ASS, and see you kids next time!!!!

That was a good show! I didn't think that T.Y.A.G. were sloppy at all..but again that's only the 2nd time I see them so...I missed the first band, for once a show in Olneyville that starts on time...that's impressive, I think I showed up at 9:40 and the second band was on, usually it's not even close to start at that time. Good job Tom! I think that's cool you give the bands food and beer (that's rare), and that you actually pay them....I guess it wasn't the punx that killed the keg this time ;)

anyways thanks to zach for lettin m e use his intense G-K head and ampeg cab? i didnt really pay attention to the cab but the head was niiiice.
also... it wasnt the greatest set we have played. we have done A LOT better than what we did last night. but shit happens. anyways... i wish i could have stayed longer and i wish i got there earlier because i wanted some of that intense pizza that i heard so much about. but yeah, thanks for having us play. we appreciate it 10-fold.

Thanks to Tom and Mike for setting up this great show. The Box of Knives is officially the scummiest place ever, and constructing that plastic broom mic stand just added to the greatness. Wonderful. We can't wait to come on back some day.
To Reverend Aaron, thanks for caring about missing our set. You really don't need to explain yourself. It's great that you even wanted to see us.
Thanks to all the other bands, especially to Goratory for letting us use their bass equipment. I'd like to apologize for leaving before Goratory and Ascendancy, but it really wasn't our choice at all. Oh well.
And I thought Terminally was awesome. I didn't notice any sloppiness or whatever; I liked it even better than the middle east set.
