No band would ever claim here that they don't have a responsibility to promote their own shit if they want to succeed or they want the show to succeed. It's just that, from experience of many people here, requiring local bands to sell tickets seems to have a direct correlation to a promoter who is lazy and doesn't put his or her effort in. When people check in and question the idea of selling tickets they are trying to feel you out and figure out if you are one of those lazy promoters.
