His shows are all or mostly all 21+ in the back room, which is actually fairly nice. We have to use the front for all ages because of a New Bedford city law ordinance that you can't have a bar and people under 21. I agree the venue is weird/awkward, but it's what New Bedford has right now and I make the most of it. It's way cheaper than the PAL and until something better comes along I'll keep using it. I always say better to have something than nothing at least for the time being. Also the security there isn't bad at all really, people overdo things I think. The one time we came close to having a major issue involved that worker not being able to come back for shows. (He interrupted a band mid-set and told them to "take it easy", when nobody was really being out offline to begin with.) Anyways I love them for letting shows even happen with what happened in Fairhaven and the lack of venues nowadays in this area regardless of how the venue is. |
