Metal has long been oversaturated, ever since the late 90s when everyone started to like it again (and a bunch of new people started to like it for the first time), not every band will be able to draw a large crowd, and that has no bearing on quality. 'Poseurs' are people who care about popularity, like you. Obviously Godless Rising is not about getting paid, or they would be playing trendy Sounds of the Underground/Ozzfest metal. Gas money is gas money, it's breaking even, not turning a profit. They also haven't failed, they just got signed to a decent label. |
