The End were fucking amazing when I saw them a few days ago. There were some tracks I'd rather have heard last friday but that's ok. They'll be coming around a few more times. Extremely brilliant band.

Awesome show! I saw TTOS in Bellingham and sort of liked them but they won me last night. I'm now a fan. RK was awesome as usual. I would have paid 10 bucks just to see them. I had to leave during The End because it was almost midnight on a Monday and blah blah blah but they were really good. It looked like a good turnout to me, but I don't know how the Middle East works money wise. I hope it all worked out for the bands.

I had a good time, I've only seen the Taste of Silver once before (at o'briens) and I liked them alot better this time. What they do reminds me of what Conifer does, only mixed with grind instead of doom. Parts of their stuff goes towards screamo and that doesn't really like me, but the rest of their stuff likes me. I got the new EP.

Raising Kubrick played pretty good, the first few songs were lacking bass, but it seemed to correct itself somewhere during their set, maybe when kris headbutted the wall. I was hoping for a new song because I know they have been writing. It was awesome to see the crowd participation for vertical talking, and the other tunes as well.

I was impressed with The End, I have their CD from Relapse and listened to a couple of tunes and I think their live set does them more justice, but I plan to listen to that again. Canadians always hold a special place in my hear as it is. These guys were really cool people too. I think I may try to make it to the Feb. 11th show even though I have no idea who those other bands are that they are playing with.

Dead to Fall was the worst band I ever booked, over homogenized breakdown after overhomogenized breakdown. Alot of people seemed to be into them, which is cool, but bands like them do nothing for me. A fight broke during their set, which totally sucked, and everyone moshing kept nailing everyone who was just hanging out, and the middle east is so small that there was nowhere for those people to go. I was forced to apologize to the middle east for that band, who apparantly were total pricks to the middle east staff the entire night. Everytime they had a cool riff forming that you could almost get into, BAM!, another breakdown took it away.

I don't think I can risk booking another tour like this because the Middle East stressed to me like 10 times about no moshing and I cannot afford to lose places to book at, particularly the Middle East.

Go see The End on Feb 11th.

i don't know who that jackass with dead to fall was, but he cranked me in the leg and now i'm limping around campus like a fucking gimp. i think the same kid threw a roundhouse at my friend and knocked him flat on his ass. i hate that fucking hardcore dance bullshit. GAH. :middlefinger:

joe, you havent heard dead to fall before you booked them? they are a cookie cutter metalcore band. manufactured musick for the dance floor.

That doesn't help him if he winds up losing the Middle East as a venue to book shows.

That is exactly why I hate most metalcore. If those bands didn't get a boner from watching their friends "dance it up" the music would be a lot better.

i thought The Taste of Silver and Kubrick played amazingly. for two bands that ive seen and played with before, i was still very much blown away. totally worth the ten dollars. the end i only barely caught, but i dont care. i love what they do musically but i hate the typically mediocre midrange hardcore screaming throughout every song. booorrrinng. the middle east was an awesome venue, and i look forward to seeing more NotCommon shows there.

Subordinate Recording Artist .psychofagist. are in the vein of the Dillinger Escape Plan, Ion Dissonance & the Red Chord. check out mp3s from their last album at www.subordinate.it - or - www.psychofagist.com

--- NEW ALBUM OUT NOW ---

WEBZINE: Smother.net [USA] ----------------------------------------------
Italian grind maestros Psychofagists deliver an unrelenting aural assault that mixes chaotic tech-metal with grind's more predictable blast beats. Sort of like Agoraphobic Nosebleed went to bed with Dillinger Escape Plan's daughter and birthed an illegitimate child, Psychofagist is all over the map with completely unpredictable rage...

WEBZINE: DareDevil.de [GER] ---------------------------------------------
Yeeeeeeeeees...this is just what I need after coming home from f**ing work. I think Psychofagist have chosen the right name for their band, cause this is like Dillinger Escape Plan on Crack. Sick, but also really groovy and packed with insane breaks and blast beats. The voice goes a bit in the vein of Today Is The Day and Pig Destroyer. I also wondered about the quality of this stuff, cause itīs so fat and well produced....damn...I have nothing more to ad...you Grind freaks out there will have lots of fun with Psychofagist.
