| _____________________________________ [Aug 10,2004 9:03am - RustedAngel ""] traffic was so gay on 495, for no reason, there was no construction, or anything... therefore I missed fod, and ascendancy. emeth: pretty quick guitar player, but he played a lot of fast riffs and it all just sounded like white noise in the place. mesa heads are overrated. stabwound: singer looked like he was rapping at times, not bad, a lot of riffs I didn't really dig, drums weren't very audible. incinerate: some sick vocals and you could actually hear the guitars now that they weren't using the gay mesa head. internal suffering: siiick drumming, awesome guitars and slams. the blasts were just as fast as chad walls (brodequin). Got to play like 3 extra songs, I guess. the more I go to this place the more the owner/announcer guy annoys the hell out of me, granted he has a few funny moments... he doesn't allow moshing, every show he says "2 weeks ago a boyfriend hit his gf in the face"... does he think people who went to a previous show didn't hear him tell the same story? retarded. If we ever play there I hope my singer tells everyone to kill eachother. hahaha. |

Hehe, nah man the vocalist from Stabwound was actually bassist/vocalist Henke from Soils Of Fate. I first met him back at the MDF when they played, really nice guy. He kinda has that skater/thug look, I guess thats the thing in Sweden since Stabwound even looked like hxc kids. I would rather have seen Soils Of Fate play that slot for sure. They're how Dying Fetus should sound, instead of sounding gay. |

However The show I thought went pretty well. Our set was just too noisy. Mostly due to the kick mic and the shit sound in the place. Ascendency played a pretty brutal set. Still too goddamn noisy though, due to that shitty PA. I missed emeth. Stabwound was brutal henkes vocals were sick but I wanted to hear uffe with stabwound. Incinerate , I wasnt a fan of the vocals at all and the music was just your standward brutal DM. WTf was with their song titles " Gook Serial killer" uhhhh. Internal suffering owned for sure. THey had the best sound of the night and everything sounded exactly like their discs. Thanks to terrence for throwing us on this bill and thanks to henke , internal suffering and ascendency for the support. If anyone didnt get a promo talk to me and ill make you one. Ascendency tear up fucking south america! One last thing I can honestly say I dislike that club more now. I mean they needa sound system if bands are to play there. Tom is correct with the white noise shit if you've got a tube head it just sounds noisy in a place like that. not to mention the "moshing violation" shit is pretty lame,fuck that old guy. |
