you're right, change is frightening to the average member of the herd. any kind of radical movement would probably be labeled as terrorism.

your not an idiot you just think your smarter than most and therefore your naturally a little defensive when alternate opinions are brought up cogently.

I just think we need more realism in our lives.

Can't wait for the fuckfest to end.

I hope things take a turn for the better, but I'm skeptical.

And even if improvements are made, we're going to have at least a few very rough years ahead. That much was not contingent upon who was elected. Those wheels have been in motion for years.

I don't think I'm smarter than most, I just stated my opinion same as you minus the political jabs.

While I agree with your statement about our forefathers, I would think it's general knowledge that the president can only do so much and to a certain extent especially in the present. But to just imply that some degree of change will never be accomplished by any president just sounds pessimistic for the sake of being pessimistic. Like Limbaugh, hoping that Obama fails and accusing everyone of being sheep just because they show a ounce of hope for improvement, ect. I know you don't classify the fact that Obama is the first black president as legit change but I think it is, even if it's just a cosmetic one. If he were speaking 'ebonics' I'd be a bit worried. haha.

We shall see what happens, I'd hope things at least get a little better for everyone elses sake and mine.

Anyways, isn't the world suppose to end in 2012 according to the Mayans and Testament?

timma said:I like Obama, and I think he's a major upgrade from Bush.

i think this needs to stop.
everyone keeps saying "he's better than bush" "he's a step up from W"
etc.

listen, that means nothing!
saying better than bush is like saying thinner than me..most people are

it's like saying "more comfortable than jerking off with sandpaper"
most things are.

see what i mean?

what's the matter saying something is a major upgrade or better than something else when it clearly IS?

most people are thinner than you and probably get way hotter chicks.

compared to bush, obama is like jerking off with ky jelly compared to sandpaper. you can keep the sandpaper, kthnx!

i am sick of people stating that lame and obvious point.
it's reptitive and obnoxious.
that's what's wrong with it.

the weight thing was just a comparrison....it's actually pretty easy for me to get girls i am attracted to since i am (and i always have been, even when i was 19 and 200 pounds lighter) attracted to 2 types of women.

pale skinned, big tittied, well proportioned, overweight white girls

and shy asian immigrants.

almost every woman i have slept with fits into one of these two cattergories, including my current girl, who i have extremely happy with for 3 years now.

so in short, i get girls that i consider gorgeous (regardless of anyone else's opinion of them), and my sex/love life is completely irrelavant to my analogy anyways.

and we all know anything is better than bush....but obama is nothing but false hope....he's not as great as youliberal sissies all seem to think....you'll see

i rephrase....upper middle class......ya know, people who worked their whole life to get comfortable, but are not (and probably never will be) wealthy.

middle class will get little to no help, same with lower middle class.

giving too much to those who need to be motivated to work for themselves

not helping lower middle class/working class

putting troops that in iraq into afghanastan instead of bringing them home.

as i said, look into castro....very similar promises were made when he went into power.

wouldn't that be asier said than done?

sure, Ron Paul would promise all that change but according to corpus there's no way to achieve legit change since the president is a mere puppet with no grounds to actually change anything anymore.

if you worked you're whole life to build you're own business to earn that much and were then told, "sorry, obama is gonna give HALF OF YOUR INCOME to people on welfare" you would give a shit mother fucker

if you make 250,000 a year, and only take home 125,000 after taxes..... you'd be gettin jipped.

taxing the wealthy (1 million post taxes in the bank with no assets unpaid for) for 50 % is absolutely justified......especially since most millionaires are just overpayed/overpraised entertainers, or genetic lottery winning estate inheritants

I agree somewhat but I don't see Ron Paul winning any elections anytime soon.

for his move to raise taxes on the wealthy, i agree and disagree. i agree because, well, they are rich and can afford it, but i disagree because that isn't the way this country was built. everyone has the right to make as much money as they want, and like Orgy said, someone who worked their ass off to get there shouldn't be treated differently. as much as i hate to say it, that's the way things should be treated based on the ideals of this country.

You could also say that maybe there is someone out there that earns a million dollars a year and only gets $500,000 of it after taxes. They're still damn well off regardless!

in this economy.
if you got a wife, a house, a car, and kids.

If you're making $250,000 gross annually, you should be pretty damn comfortable. Just because you give up a bunch for taxes like everyone else doesn't mean that it's no longer the 'land of opportunity'. Try making that much money in Cambodia, ect. where it would be a luxury to even have a TV.

And meanwhile, sports stars are still making in excess of 20 million a year.

Rich, poor, whathaveyou, money is worthless, has no value and is no longer backed up by anything. It's a piece of paper that is meaningless. We are controlled by the Federal Reserve (I work in the fahkin' building for Christ's sake) and are falsely convinced that money really does have value. It doesn't. Our WHOLE society is based off of money. You think the really rich give two shits about the average blue collar American? Fuck no. It's the last thing on their minds. In our eyes, Money = Power and Power = control.

If you want to know the truth, understand that this whole financial situation is part of a master plan. It's not a conspiracy, it's the fucking truth.

yeah, well then maybe people will chill down and realize they don't need a pimped Escalade and BMW, a 28 room house with 4 bathrooms in order to raise a family, especially if their priority is to raise a family.
