__________________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 1:31pm - dan_bloodblister ""] it was a terrible solo anyways. i was just waiting for the unicorns and dragons to descend |
_____________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 1:31pm - RustedAngel ""] bombshelter, no ventilation smoke factory, doesn't promote any shows, sound sucks, especially onstage. choppin block was a good time, but no room for anyone to stand or move around. dee dee's, no moshing. poles in front of the stage, a weird platform that's just in the way. had fun nonetheless. |

Serge already charges the under 21 crowd $15... give him a year, if he hasn't gone under or sold the place he'll be trying to charge $30 Bomb Shelter this: :nuke: |
____________________________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 2:03pm - Biffy, the glampire blower ""] it's got to be The Living Rooma as far as getting ripped off...the owners son "Charlie" now owns it after his dad got in a serious car wreck, and he has both a "little" gambling and drug problem...so regardless of if you bring in 500 people or not..your gonna get reemed. |
__________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 2:34pm - SuperFly ""] never been to the bomb shelter, never been to jarrods, been to the palladium a few times years back. fucking hated it so much, vowed never to return and have stuck to my guns. and I have no interest in going to the other 2 places either. FUCK 'EM ALL!!! |

_____________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 2:42pm - RustedAngel ""] webster theater sucks ass, especially the suburb around it. no moshing allowed. toads place seemed like a pretty rad place. only been there once. |
_______________________________ [Jun 23,2005 2:56pm - moran ""] Sydney's in Lawerence was the worst club ever. Nothing like playing in front of drugged up, 50+ coke whores and fat latino sluts. |

Nothing like playing in front of drugged up, 50+ coke whores and fat latino sluts. We played there several years ago. No one was there and my drummer and basis were getting harrassed by a carload of latinos when they walked to the store for cigs. |

__________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 3:01pm - SuperFly ""] grief once played the front row sports bar in lawrence. after like 4 songs the owner said people just wanted to hear the juke box. he said if we stop playing he'll pay us a $100 and let us drink for free all night. actually turned out pretty good. |

That sounds like the greatest show ever. That's like getting sent home from work early and still getting paid for the whole day. |
__________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 3:11pm - SuperFly ""] yeah, i asked if we could be the house band and do that every week. |

______________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 3:24pm - Jesus_Slaves ""] they are too fucking small. we have a 5 piece, well 6 at the time and it was impossible to fit our drummers collosal set and not to mention that the rest of the band arent exactly small people. i like to move around and not worry that i am going to be decapitated by the guitars |

Its a dive bar. What do you expect? Bars should not be judged by the same standards as venues that book national touring acts. Lately I've seen lots of people here bitch about the three clubs I listed and they were legit gripes about things the club can totally control. I was just wondering which one is the most hated. |

_______________________________ [Jun 23,2005 3:44pm - moran ""] I hate Jarrod's solely because of the his piss poor management. It could be really nice club if he didn't have his head up his ass and stopped thinking that rap-core is still the biggest thing to hit the music scene. My only gripe with the Palladium is the sound. |
_____________________________________ [Jun 23,2005 3:51pm - RustedAngel ""] at least the palladium actually pulls in quite a few bands people actually want to see. I've seen bands at the palladium upstairs and downstairs with good sound. Blame it on the soundguys bands bring in, not the club itself. |
