Regrettable bands?[views:9991][posts:63]______________________________________ [Dec 26,2008 3:28pm - orgymf@work ""] ya know what i regret listening to.... i'll admit it.... when i was 17, i went through a short and embarassing phase of listening to Korn and Marilyn Manson. what a douche i was. funny thing was, it's not like i didn't know what good music was at that point, i had already been into metal, punk and jazz for a long time.... but for some reason, i just went through that awful phase, i'm happy to say it was short lived. |

Meshuggah bases their music on the push/pull of polymetric rhythms, and the sterility of their melody's within that framework. Show me a single FF song with a polymetric part. Sure you might not like the technique, but that IS what meshuggah is all about, so any similarity to FF is far from their focus. Meshuggah is one of my favorite bands. But I am pointing out that if you HAD TO compare them to a band it would be FF and not PANTERA...Please don't try to explain to me why Meshuggah is an important, or complex band. |
