well, that show was pretty short (for me) and awesome... the club was filled up with what you would expect on a wednesday night in NH... and especially so close to seabrook. Lot's of bikers there too... One of my friends had a support your local nomads shirt on and some HAs kept looking, pointing and a couple times walking almost up to him. Funny thing, I recognized at least one of them and I think I went to highschool with him.

anyhow, all things aside, once carina got me in, it was great. the venue is super old... reminds me of an early 1900, later 1800 saloon. it's very open in there too.

recognizer: roadsaw.. chainsaw.. killsaw.. somethingsaw who does a show at a station that I don't listen to's band. I thought they broke up along ass time ago. I see jr (the singer last time I saw them) in portsmouth all the time. I missed them.

brand new sin: I've missed these guys on purpose before. It was like 3 years ago(?) when they opened a metalfest or fatcats show. they aren't really my thing at all... it's like rock-metal. but they are on CM and will have a new CD out soon. At one point, the singer asked if anyone had a copy of their old CD because he didn't have one and he was looking for one. I should had said that I have 3-4 copies at my station... their label sent me tons.

motorhead: so the wait for motorhead was like 30 minutes and then BANG. the wrestler triple h introduced them and then were off.

I've never seen motorhead before and it was pretty intense. Their music is just so upfront and in your face. Almost immediately, the crowd started to toss shirts and things on to stage. some one from in back would run up, grab it and pull it off the stage. At one point lemmy quiped "stop throwing your stuff up 'ere. I don't want it. I don't like you." in his thin limey accent. They played a bit heavey from the new CD inferno which lemmy so called "his" album. I think it was something like "have you bought my new album?" which makes sense cause he is basically the band, no?
I had taken a snap shot of the set list so I knew what songs were coming. granted, I would have loved to heard ace of spade and overkill, but carina and I left 1/2 way through the set. still, awesome songing after 30 freaking years!

Rev, I wish I saw what you did. I got there late and saw the 2nd half of the set. They were playing Ramones when I walked in.
I'm pissed I missed all that stuff from Ace of Spades and Orgasmatron.
Still, seeing Motorhead play songs I've seen 'em play a billion times is better than no Motorhead.

Post the pic of the setlist please.

I believe we shot until Killers...
then tried to go to the skyboxes, but couldn't.. and ended up staying until tragedy.

from the frist 1/2, love me like a reptile was probably the best song, imho.

Yeah, figures. I've never seen 'em play Love me Like a Reptile before. Never seen Over the Top either.

We got there wicked late and the box office was closed and dickhead at the door wouldn't let us in. Fortuantely you could hear Motorhead almost perfectly from the street so we hung out by the door for a couple songs and then someone with a brain finally came out and offered to take our money. We only had to pay half price too since it was so late.

It was good to hear Motorhead playing so loudly. The last few times I saw 'em was at the Pagaydium and no one is ever loud enough there.

Hey Josh, i was asking the rev to look for you, since I don't think we've ever met (though I've photographed AC) and if you didn't have a ticket I was going to give you my extra one...i guess that's why we didn't see you...oh well next time

Pretty ok show for a wed. night.

This was Recognizer's first show back. Brand New Sin was way too nu-metal for my tastes (and I'm pretty tolerant) .Motorhead was far too loud for the Casino. We stepped outside and listened from the parking lot and heard everything crystal clear.

I was outside for recognizer's set and I must say, it sounded A LOT better than when I heard them years ago.

and carina, josh was in AC when you shot them. I think that guy's name was john... people were yelling things about "john being so cute" at that show.

oh, also until josh introduced himself to me, I thought josh was someone completely different and that the guy who introduced himself to me as josh was actually named Ray since that what people were yelling at him in 2000 at the middle east. now, I know differently.

and the person that played drums at the 2003 SJR show we saw I don't remember being john (kevorkians angels).. so he either was another john or wasn't a john at all it's another thing like the ray/josh martin thing.

Carina, thanks for thinking of me.

People were calling me Ray???

That was Nate (Adolf Satan) on drums at the SJR show.
John Kozik (ex-Toe Tag, ex-Out Cold) played guitar at the SJR show. It would've been me but I was in jail.

"John being so cute" is a long, long running joke. He was the baby of the band. (I mean baby as in being young, not as in a pain in the ass crybaby)

They sounded better to me in the beginning of their set. The sound got muddy towards the end and you could tell Lemmy was getting pissed at the guy running the boards. The crowd was pretty interesting: Hell's Angel's bikers, skinny heroin addict punk rockers, skinheads, and plenty of fist banging long hairs...

yeah, lemmy gave the "look of death" to him starting from, I think, over the top.

The problem must've been with the monitors because they sounded fine to me.

During the soundcheck, Lemmy was yelling at the Casino monitor soundman constantly. Apparently, the monitors weren't to Lemmy's liking, but the wall of noise that their soundman created was just fine. Wierd.
