My Friends And i got there at 4:30, when the doors werent open yet, so we figured we couldnt buy tickets, so we go piss in an empty mall, grab a cup of coffee, and come back to find a shitload of people at the side door. The head count comes around, and there were just enough tickets for 2 of us, (there were four) so my friend and i weaseled our way onto the into the moat guest list. we didnt have to pay a cent.

Drove down from Methuen to find out it was sold out. Cephalic should have just stayed on that Suffocation/Cryptopsy show. What ever happend to the days when you could go to a metal show comfortably knowing you'd get in at the door with no ticket. Then again that's what happens when you go to a show that bdm is playing. Stupid hot topic shopping twelve year olds ruin it for the rest of us.

ruined it? hahahahaha

that show midas well have been sponsored by hot topic, thats all it was.

btbam? come on, unless your a 13 year old scene girl, how is that appealing? BDM was the only band that actually interested me on this bill, i mean fuck, cephalic sucked my ass when they played the middle east. Anyone who did, or wanted to go, to this show cannot complain, you knew thats the way it was be going into it. Welcome to the Hot topic generation, and youve just donated too it.

*edit apon looking at pictures*
-was there anyone in the crowd over 18? sure as fuck doesnt look like it.

As much as I'd rather be upstairs, I've got to agree with that one. Next time I'm sure it will be downstairs.

they were on my phone.
have to transfe them off.

into the moat: damn, I've seen this band raise from nothing more than posts on lambgoat to first tour to getting signed and playing to sold out show. the last time I saw them was right in the middle of all their line up changes so it wasn't as good as usual. This time, they were amazingly sick. I was surpised that they pulled t together so well. I crossed the stage at one point and earl (singer) gave me a shout out which was cool of him. He said something like "our buddy at return to the pit" someone in the crowd yelled back "return to the cameras."

cephalic carnage: just like there were the other times on the tours for this CD, basically the same setlist as the one from before to, but it seemed like they cut out old ones and played all the new ones from the set list in maine. they started off with hybrid, played 3 tracks from the new CD (dying will be the death of me, peace maker, and one other), one older song I forgot and ended with arthro-nemisis (lucid interval). This band is so much fun now that all the members are back in it. They also shouted out goratory for smokin them up. Lenzig also had a nice hang em and bang em shirt on. There were plenty of kids there just for them.

between the buried and me: sounded as good as the CD that they put out. Awesomely perfect and technical. I thought that the guy the glasscasket (guitarist) was the reason for all the rhapsody worship, but he was just sitting down, playing rhythm guitar. the other guy played all the techy parts. I found out later in the set that he has a buldging disk so they almost couldn't tour. People were yelling for them to play modecai, but they didn't which is tipically their ending song (they had time to play it too). I think the last song was selkies: the endless obsession. Tommy gales spent a lot of time back at the keys for the new stuff. like every time I've seen them since silent cirus came out, Their set was technically flawless. Oh, and the track alaska sounds so much better live.

I had a blast at this show. I don't know what the hell everyone who actually got in is complaining about. The hot topic kids? Who cares. If they piss y'all off that much just beat them up (and see where that gets you).
This wasn't the best show ever or anything, but I haven't had that much fun at a show in hell of a long time.

Ill post again when my pictures are up to.

Oops... Looks like I forgot to post this.
black dahlia murder, the: I got there to hea some one yelling my name over and over. It was brian (guitarist). They were all hanging out outside the venue. It was funny seeing how big they've gotten so fast with all the kids that came along and hugged them, complained that they couldn't get in, and told them how awesome they were. I didn't see anyone getting autographs, but it was that sort of scene out there. Reminded me of the time that I was hanging out with TRC and people kept coming up to get autographs. You could totally see that they were all such normal, laid back guys who didn't know how to deal with their new "stardom".
anyhow, pre-ozzfest. it seems like ozzfest made them huge!
