| ________________________________________ [May 10,2004 8:34am - Josh_hates_you ""] so how is it GWB's fault that the WORLD price for a barrel of gas is at its highest ever getting close to $40 a barrel. not to mention the shortage of gas. we have plenty of oil. we just have a lack of oil refineries. we can only make so much gas at a time which leads to shortages and price increases. there have been sereral attempts to build new refineries but they keep getting denied due to environmental issues and the fact that they cost billions to produce. the government is pushing all car companies to do away with gas powered cars in the next 10 to 15 years meaning that no entrepeneur would invest the $$$$ into a refinery that will largely be out of business in 10 years. the issue of sending jobs overseas and opening up wal marts to sell their cheap foreign produced products is one of the biggest reasons our country is screwed.(good call burial666)not to mention his tax policies for the rich and big business bush just sucks ANYONE BUT BUSH 2004 |
