Trying to compete with other shows is a bad idea, the scene is too small right now. So even if you don't care about what other bands are doing, you should care that your show will do much worse then it normally would and this Compound place may not want you back if your show does bad. As far as a 'scene' goes, Terence has money riding on his tour and nobody should do anything to slight his efforts to take tours away from Scott Lee, or just bringing tours to MA in general. |

Me and Joe have worked hard to not set up shows on the same day, same goes with Prophetless, and anyone else who books shows. Just ask Josh from Bodies in the Gears...he was seeing if he could get a MA date for the LDOH show for June 1st, so I looked...and saw that there was already a metal show on June 1st. Of course i would have looked out for other metal shows, I care about the scene, and care about not booking shows on the same night, just ask everyone that knows me, esp Josh from Bodies in the gears...competing is gay. It's going to happen august 9th, and it will happen again. We should just hope that each band has a big enough following that it won't effect things much as far as turnout. As for the BOE show... they are brutal, but they play in MA often so people are likely to go to the Brutal domination show to see bands they probably won't see again anytime soon... BUT NOT everyone obviously. BOE has a following, and as does shroud....I'm sure this will work out fine. It's not like these shows are down the st from the eachother. |
