indie Movie: Before Sunset[views:1240][posts:2]_________________________________ [Sep 2,2004 9:06am - succubus ""] ok so i was invited to the premiere 8 years ago! WOW time flies i am a huge fan of the original (Before Sunrise) +i like how it's in real time..the original was 8 years ago and they filmed it then...and this one takes place 8 years later..i.e. today -I think the dialogue in the first was better +i think making Hawke and Delpy also write the screenplay was a bonus and made it more realistic. I think they work well with Linklater and the fact that they are firends helps too...I have yet to see Linklater's "Waking Life" (cartoon with Hawke and Delpy where they play Jesse and Celine~same characters as in this film)~sidenote I gotta get the DVD! -although Paris is beautiful, the cinematography is much better in the original (Vienna is my most favorite city in the world. THe theatre was very nice! Despite being an "indie" theatre...they still did free refills on large popcorn lol and the people who work they are super nice too |
