He sounds like a rabid dog barking into the mic with an occassional scream thrown in to mix it up. There's one thing to be guttural and indecipherable, it's another to be indecipherable when the vocals aren't even going along with the music. He sounds like shit. Cryptopsy's newer material is a lot more precise and intricate. They need someone who is professional and menacing, and while DiSalvo was a random pick for that band, he turned out to be a perfect fit for their overall sound. |
| _________________________________ [Sep 6,2004 2:07pm - Kalopsia ""] disalvo was a hardcore singer!!!! that's my biggest problem with him. lord worm was so different from every death metal singer. christ he's one of the originators of the inhale scream. and then u go to disalvo? way too big of a change for me. lord worm fit cryptopsy because cryptopsy is a brutal death metal band, and lord worm is a brutal death metal singer. mike disalvo is a hardcore singer. that's my problem. and let's not forget that cryptopsy's all time best-selling record was None So Vile, which featured LORD WORM on vocals. no, he did not soley make that record as good as it is, but goddamnit he made it that much better. |
