So awesome to have a chick that can growl and scream just as good as a guy. Oh yeah the best growling does come from the drummer, dude you kick ass. Raising Kubrick’s first full-length, The Important Thing Is Moral Choice, has a lot to offer, but I have one problem with it: A couple of the song titles are way too long to ever remember. Other than that, the CD itself is well done and everything is pretty level for a local band’s first time out. You know how sometimes certain things are too far back or too loud? Not the case here. I feel a real energy coming from Raising Kubrick, especially on Track #2, “Splattered Beliefs,” awesome is the word to describe it. Track #3, “Fargo,” is pretty damn good, I love the beginning audio from the movie, too. But by far my favorite is Track #7, “Vertical Talking,” it’s so heavy I want to kick someone’s ass right to hell. I think I just did, sorry. I would have to say that NotCommon Records saw what Raising Kubrick had to offer and let them fly right with it. Nice job. - Metal Wench theres also an interview with transcending the mundane here: http://basementbar.com/DefaultN1.asp?GoTo=InterviewN1.asp?ID=496 i know im excited.
