WORLD BURNS TO DEATH plays super dark heavy hardcore, a bit like Tragedy but much more metal. The singer has an amazing stage presence, and the black metal make up too (well, not really, it's just around his eyes). They are on HardcoreHolocaust Records, but their live set are so much better than the CD. NOXAGT is a trio from Norway, they play heavy rock with a violin. Really good band, they're on Load Records. RATTUS is punk as fuck from Finland, they are doing this tour with the original line-up, and play mostly old songs, so everyone is going to know the tunes. I'm really looking forward tomorrow. SIGNAL LOST plays punk hardcore with melodic female vocals, the bass player is also a chick. HAMMER is straight up Japanese hardcore, nothing else to say. Only a few dates in the US CAUSTIC CHRIST are on Havoc Records, fast hardcore, really good live. GLORIOUS MONSTERS is a trio from PVD with 2 drummers (one of them is Lee from The Body), metal drumming with noise/electronic background. WORK/DEATH is a one man noise act from PVD, he uses his bass and a few distortion pedals, he's doing a more heavy drowny set that night. GET KILLED rules, they're my favorite hardcore band from PVD, super high energy and fun live, 2 girls in the band (guitar and bass), reminds me of Black Flag a bit. ENDLESS NIGHTMARE are from Philly, and they're straight up crust band, very tight and loud, I've heard. WHITE MICE are from PVD, trio who plays some mayhem metal noise, they wear mice mask, bloody jackets, and always come up with some kind of prop during their set. CONTEMPT FOR HUMANITY is straight up Discharge influence hardcore, generic and really good. |
