ive been collecting records since ive been about 13. they sound better. its a fact. stop being so caught up in how everyones a scenester and you should do the oposite of what you think scenesters do or whatever the fuck.

RECORDS SOUND BETTER.

however, this is the same shitty elitist attitude shithead nerds who buy every daughters / the locust / whatever 7" that comes out have.
im glad people feel better than thier peers because they listen to thier favorite bands archaic multi-colored/and or see through vinyl music disc in one room of thier house.
high five.

yes, i love a band i want everything by them. how the fuck is that elitist? or i guess it is. i dont know. i dont really care. i would never listen to shit like daughters to begin with.

actually, i think that response made perfect sense. i dont care about daughters/locust/nextshittyband or care about how i might be percieved as a elitist because i go out of my way to find rare records by my favorite bands. i collect kiss toys, too. i guess that makes me feel "better than my peers". because no one can get something for the pure enjoyment of having it. i dont flash my record collection and i dont have peers. i associate with a few assholes and i spend most of my check on records and horror movies. jesus christ, i should kill myself.

my response, in points.
-this is a stupid argument.
-here is why i said you had an elitest attitude:
jesus hitler said:<<i like owning my favorite bands 7" cuz not every asshole has it.>>

not because you love the band and want everything by them.
-i dont even really care that much, i was bored a few minutes before i had to leave for class haha.
-im glad you took away all that shit about records sounding better and scene BS because i didnt say anything about that.
-high fives.
-hover bikes.
-john candy.

XmikeX said:So there you go. That's the new trend, borderline mods coming back to pass themselves off as "old school hardcore" kids. I'm sure there's plenty there for you all to work with.

annnnnnd go!

I don't understand the appeal of new hardcore bands trying to sound old school. Aside from money what would be the reason behind emulating music that is nearly 20 years old? Sure the bands can say shit like, "Redefining hardcore with a respect for the oldschool but with a modern twist." Where is the modern twist? Could it be anorexic kids acting tough and moshing at the bands show? Man, fuck that.

What's wrong with playing older styles of music that you like?
 ________________________________________
[Oct 7,2004 3:22pm - BobNOMAAMRooney ""]
There's nothing really wrong with it if you're doing it because you like the music. But it seems like most bands are latching onto Youth Crew because of its popularity. Anyway, I think if you are going to play older style music because you love it you need to avoid falling into the trap of being a mere tribute band and actually do something interesting with your music.

This thread is dumb. Records are the analog recording. CDs are the 16 bit Digital interpretation of the recording. Stop being dumb and naive.

I really don't care, hahahaha, I just wanted to add my 2 cents so people would pay attension to me.

About the whole 24 bit CD thing; It is impossible for all 24 bits to be recorded onto a cd. I'm currently going through all that right now. Data cds can hold 24 bits but if you want to make an actual audio cd it can only hold 16.

Records are usually 32 bits.

um... dissector, records aren't any bits.. if you wanted to represent a record, you would have infinite bits since it's analog.
