SIX FEET UNDER in the studio to record next full length! Tampa Florida death-metalers Six Feet Under headed into Morrisound studios Friday, October 1st to start laying down tracks to their next full length follow-up to Bringer of Blood. Right now the band is recording all the music and then Chris Barnes will head over to the Hit Factory to lay down the vocals. Once again Chris Barnes will be the producer and Chris Carroll will be handling engineering and mixing. As far as what this CD's subject matter will be about, Chris Barnes says, "the material is dark and demented, and is not uplifting." More information on the new album and studio updates from Chris Barnes will be made available in the coming weeks. In other news SFU will be playing Puerto Rico on 10/29 and Trinidad and Tobago on 10/30, both shows with Hatebreed. http://www.sfu420.com/ UNEARTH Update from Trevor: "Thanks to everyone in Detroit and Chicago for filling St. Andrews Hall and The Bottom Lounge. This tour has been nothing short of amazing and we want to thank everyone for making it a great time for us. If would want to see this tour, it would be a good idea to get the tickets ahead of time. See you all soon..." Trevor *So far almost every show has sold out on the Unearth, Black Dahlia Murder, Terror, and Remembering Never U.S. tour. If you plan on seeing this tour, make sure to buy tickets in advance because venues have been turning kids away by the hundreds. In other news, since the start of the tour in late September, The Black Dahlia Murder has seen a 15% increase in sales and Unearth has seen a 14% increase. Unearth also moved up 15 spots on the BILLBOARD HEATSEEKERS (NEW ARTISTS) CHART coming in at #126 this week and landing the #37 spot on the BILLBOARD Hard Music Albums Core Stores chart. http://www.unearth.tv LOSA Update from the band: "Two tracks from our up-coming Metal Blade release have been posted on the web. 'Unsuspecting Mind' and 'From the Ashes of Infancy' are available via the MEDIA (http://www.losa.nu/Default.aspx?tabid=106) page. We encourage all of you to give them a listen and share them with your friends. Please feel free to drop us a line and let us know your thoughts and opinions. We would greatly appreciate it! As far as the CD itself is concerned, we are currently focusing all of our efforts on the layout and overall packaging. Unfortunately, due to the amount of time that we have invested in the layout, we no longer will be able to make the January 25th release date. The release date has now been tentatively pushed back to February 8th, 2005. Trust us; we want this album out ASAP!" http://www.losa.nu STARWOOD Starwood has just confirmed a show with British rock gods UFO on Monday November 15th at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, CA. More Starwood shows are in the works check out http://www.starwood-band.com/ or http://www.metalblade.com/ for dates as they are confirmed!! Be sure to check out the video clip from Joey Scott's birthday bash!! http://www.starwood-band.com CATARACT Update from the band: "We just finished our 1st video ever! It's for the song "Nothing's Left" from our latest record "With Triumph Comes Loss"! It came out brilliant. Awesome job by Michael and his crew! Expect some crazy stuff. We also want to thank all Cataractians again who made our record release show so amazing and the video even better! Some of those crazy people are found on that video... watch out for that soon on air all over! Last weekend we played Konstanz and Berlin. We first want to thank Fidji, the whole MAD crew and Maroon for making both shows an amazing experience. Konstanz was a Late-Night-Show. Even though it was great. The MAD HELLFIRE FEST at SO 36 was completely sold out and the kids went crazy for every band! Crazy, eight times bringing down the mosh is nearly worth going to "Wetten Dass..." If you missed it... well, sorry for you. Thanks again to everybody involved. Hardcore lives. We play our first show in Ludwigshafen this coming weekend. If you are in the area make sure you come along!" http://www.cataract-collective.com BEYOND THE EMBRACE update from Oscar: Once again Beyond the Embrace has been enveloped by the dark cloud that has been our constant companion within the last 2 weeks. We had to get rid of our first van, and our new one-week-old van (new to us anyway) is already in the shop for some repairs. Our trailer is dead and our drummer was rushed to the hospital last Saturday for an infection in his foot. He was released earlier today and on a steady dosage of antibiotics is on the road to recovery. We did however have to drop off the last leg of the "Sofa King Metal Tour" with Byzantine and Children of Tragedy. The tour will continue without us. We sincerely apologize to all fans and promoters who counted on us to be performing at these shows; we'll make it up to you soon. Thanx for the support- Oscar G- BTE http://www.beyondtheembrace.com INTO THE MOAT Into the Moat has made some changes to their October 30th show. The show has been moved to The Alley in Miami, FL. The CD is already available in many of the Hot Topic chain stores nationwide. Despite some serious van issues this summer, Psyopus are back in commission armed with a new vehicle and some amazing press. Keep an eye out for Psyopus popping up everywhere with features/reviews in Metal Maniacs, Terrorizer, Decibel (the single best upcoming extreme magazine to come out in years) and Alternative Press who named Psyopus as one of the top 10 Mathcore bands to watch! "Ideas of Reference is a master's class in left-field guitar playing and off-kilter timekeeping, sure, but as the bands name suggests, it's also a "psychotic opus" that tests the limits of emotion, song structure, and physical endurance- in 11/16 time, of course" - Alternative Press "Musicians dedicated to a perplexing dissonance, tension, tempo fuckolgy, and flash-handed technicality"- Terrorizer "Psyopus is an Avant-Grind, bastardized formulation of speed metal for hardcore kids and Ideas of Reference has a thousand horse powered engine." - Metal Maniacs Also, Ibanez has officially endorsed Psyopus guitarist, Chris Arp.
