Home plate is different then the bases. If you try to barrel over the third baseman diving into third, not only are you out, but you probably get thrown out of the game. What ARod did was very intentional and very illegal. I think the umps showed amazing restraint in not throwing both Torre and ARod out. But seriously. Wow. Just wow. I was at a bar and we literally screamed until our voices were gone. Amazing. I am so thankful for what we've had so far. Regardless of the outcome of tomorrow's game, which I have a feeling will not go down as your traditional game seven with all the pitchers that will probably pitch, I will be absolutely content with this season. The Yankees have an amazing team, the Sox have an amazing team. I really hope we can pull one more win out of our asses, but I am definitely scared that it's not going to happen. But seriously, these last three games have made this season a total success as far as I am concerned. I can look back on this season and say they gave me the thrill of a lifetime. I hope they've got a few more left for me... |
