The oil is a big asset and after rooting out Iraq, will pay for it's reconstruction and it will also provide assets to form a strong nation in the heart of the middle east that will help us sort out it's neighboring countries, with the same success of isreal, after all, no one complained when a democrat created the borders for isreal. As oddly as it seems, I'm going to haveto agree with Nick and tell everyone not to vote because statistically, when more people vote, democrats win, so I say sit on your ass, don't vote, and let the swing states pour in republican votes. |

| ____________________________________________ [Nov 1,2004 8:20pm - MarkFuckingRichards ""] the_reverend said:you can't vote yet unless you are in florida or vote by absentee i was actually just thinking about this, don't know why. my girlfriend is from florida, so she's still enlisted there even if she lives in MA now. she sent out for her absentee ballot maybe 6 or 7 weeks ago. since she did not receive it after 1 week, she called the office in charge of this sort of thing. the lady who answered told her that she should already have the ballot since it was sent out, but low and behold, no ballot. the lady also said that her records had shown the ballot was sent out on columbus day...a holiday on which NO MAIL IS DELIVERED!!! so erika ripped her a new one for that. she was clearly lying and responded, "oh, it was sent out the day after then, you should have it now or within the next 2 days. the next 3 or 4 days roll by, and erika calls again...different lady answers and said there is NO way they can track the ballot, so the previous bitch was lying 100%. she finally got the ballot, after requesting it not once...not twice...not thrice...but 4 fucking times, practically having to threaten them to get the fucking ballot. she got the ballot just in time to send it back out and have it reach florida again by november 2nd. (it arrived this afternoon thanks to mail insurance and all that jazz.) i don't get what the problem is with florida...why can't they just do shit right??? also, speaking of the draft...i'm surprised no one has already mentioned the fact that when a male citizen of the united states turns 18, he is required by strictly enforced law to sign up for the "draft," i forget exactly what it's called...social service something or other, i don't know...it's technically an agreement that states every 18 year old male in the US has to "volunteer" to be available to go to war if so needed. i honestly don't think this will ever really come into effect, but isn't it great to know that all of us legal males in the USA have already agreed to be drafted? that's good stuff. i know this doesn't really have any direct relation to voting, but i figured i'd share since i'm STILL not doing my math homework, heh heh. and in closing, god almighty, i fucking hate politics. vote for whoever the fuck you want, create your own opinions and decisions, but make sure you know what you're getting yourself into before making a very important decision that will be set in stone FOREVER. the next 4 years of your life, or maybe even the rest of your years, rely on this election. it happens with every election time. find what matters to you and what you hold dear, and see who values closest to what you value. but still, we'll be fucked no matter who the president is at any moment in time until the end of the world...and we live happily ever after, the end. slayer. hail satan. blaaah i vote oderus too. |
