She should have stepped down on 9/12, if not the afternoon of 9/11. We didn't NEED to add a Homeland Security Department, we needed a National Security Agency that did its job. I don't know what exactly Bush sees in Rice, but apparently she's somehow "crucial" to his team. I don't see how, she's been completely ineffective in her job, aside from being the token black female for Bush to point at and say "Look, I have a diverse cabinet." She should probably be brought up on charges for the failure to do anything to stop 9/11, just as Rumsfeld needs to be brought up on charges over Abu Ghraib, Cheney over the energy industry fiascos he's covered up, etc. |
