HAHA mantas lived about 5 streets from me when i was of school age, he was this legendary weird guy to us younger kids - rumoured to have a pentagram painted on his bedroom ceiling at his mums house, my best friends mum used to go to church with mrs dunn. used to see mantas at the bus stop on my way to college, looking back he was on his way to impulse studios to record 'welcome to hell' , i was off to geography class or something.. saw cronos in town once - he's really small |

Supposedly Mantas lived in some guy's basement in Billerica smoking weed and playing guitar all day long, shortly after he left (I guess between Possessed and Primevil). That would be funny if it's true, but I think the only real connection is that Mike Hickey, who played on some of the Demolition Man-era stuff (and later toured with CARCASS after Michael Ammott left) was from this area... |
