THE RED CHORD Drummer/ album update from Guy:
After the last year of having a rotating spot behind the kit, we have finally found a drummer who we believe will be the permanent guy from here on out. His name is Brad Fickeisen. Some folks from Massachusetts may remember his playing from being in a band from the area called Eviscerate years back. We had some pretty huge shoes to fill with previously working with drummers like Mike Justain, Jon Dow and John Longstreth. Brad can definitely hold his own. He has some great chops, hits hard and can blast with the best of them. He has an interesting style that flows with our new material. I definitely don't foresee their being any disappointment from people familiar with us once you all get to check this guy out.

As for the new recording, we are going into the studio with Zuess at Planet Z starting the first week of January, which sets us at a May release date for the release of Clients. Some songs that will definitely be on the new album include Fixation on Plastics, Upper Decker, Stupefaction, Hospice Residence & Antman.

The band will resume playing shows in February/March after the recording is complete and will probably be on the road for the majority of 2005.

In other news, bassist Gregory Weeks is slowly coping with the trauma of now being the second tallest member of the band. He is expected to recover completely.

YOB recently had our CD release show for The Illusion Of Motion in Portland, Oregon. It was held at a fantastic club called Sabala's. We were lucky enough to have three stellar bands on the bill with us: Drunk Horse, Subarachnoid Space and Ludicra. There was a fantastic turn out and everyone had a great time! GOD DETHRONED rise to the top!
Great news for GOD DETHRONED! Their new album The Lair Of The White Worm has won the soundcheck of Rock Hard (Germany) magazine – to be published in the December issue! The album also ended up on 3 in the Legacy-soundcheck and on 6 in the Metal Hammer soundcheck. Great results for a great band!

The website of God Dethroned will be completely renewed and re-launched as of Friday November 12. Make sure to check it out!

Update from Henri:
It was about time, but it’s finally here; the totally renewed website! A new line-up, a new CD, lots of shows in the worx, check it out here.

Sign up for our newsletter so you will be updated with our news and upcoming shows when you don't check this website on a regular basis. We also posted a poll to find out what your top 10 of favorite God Dethroned songs are. We will use the results to prepare our set list for future shows, because we wanna play the right stuff live.

Soon we will have tabs of our songs on the website too. For the freaks who wanna know what we play exactly. First, the songs of Lair of the White Worm, and then the rest (piece by piece).

See you soon on the road somewhere on this rotten planet!

STARWOOD’s new video for Subculture finished!
Starwood complete first video for the song “Subculture” from their debut release If It Ain't Broke, Break It!
The video for “Subculture” represents the entire attitude from If It Ain't Broke, Break It! straight up, faster then the eye can see visions of Hollywood. From the clubs to the streets, this is the ‘first look’ of what the song subculture and the band Starwood is all about.

“We were born and raised here. When we were looking for a concept for this video we soon realized we didn’t need one, we already live in one. Hollywood is the greatest concept there is. We just pointed a camera at it and pulled the trigger! Everything that song has to say lyrically was at the other end of that camera. This was just a postcard from our backyard to the rest of the world” states Lizzy, lead singer for the band.

The video for Subculture can be viewed here.

The band recently just played a show with rock legends UFO at the Hollywood House of Blues and here is what bassist Marten Andersson had to say about it:

“Last night we kicked off our live show at the House of Blues/Hollywood. This show was somewhat of a test-run for many more to come next year and we got off to an amazing start. We had a great time on stage, It just gets better and better. We really enjoyed meeting and talking to everybody. Thanks for coming out!!!”

Also be sure to check out the bands site for their new merch that is now available!

Major BOLT THROWER announcement!
Bolt Thrower have found a replacement for the recently departed Dave Ingram.

The band are very happy to announce that original vocalist Karl Willetts has rejoined them as a full-time member.

Karl said, "It's fantastic to be a part of the mighty Bolt Thrower again. It feels great to be back with the guys, I can't wait to get my teeth into the new songs and get back on the road again. I've got some unfinished business to attend to...!"

The now complete line-up of Bolt Thrower - Karl Willetts, Gavin Ward, Barry Thomson, Jo Bench & Martin Kearns will spend the next few weeks finishing off the new material and plan to go into the studio in the new year.

As you can imagine, we are really curious about the result, the rest of us can’t wait to enter the studio as well to contribute to the record”, comments singer Benny. Recordings take place at Stage One Studio, Germany with producer Andy Claassen at the desk!

GOATWHORE Tour update from the band:
Goatwhore will no longer be on the road for the rest of this year. We would like to apologize to all of the people that have come out to shows so far to see us and we haven’t been there.

Internal problems have raised their ugly heads so the bans is in a state of limbo at the moment. More information will be posted in the next week. Thanks to all that came out up to the Denver, Colorado show. That was the last show for us before we headed home. Keep posted for further information.

BLACK MARKET ACTIVITIES news update:
FROM A SECOND STORY WINDOW update from the band:
Our current news as of now- we have finished our second song and are almost done with a third... so... progress is just as expected for the new CD. We appreciate the ENORMOUS amount of emails from everyone asking us to do shows or come bro-down. I am sorry we have had to say no in most cases, but I promise once we are ready to hit the road again, you will see us all the time. We DO have a few shows lined up to keep us busy, including a RARE trip to Syracuse and possibly some shows in NJ being worked on... more to come later. The details for the shows will be posted on our site shortly. I also think we might do a Christmas show just for fun. We will need to break slightly from the writing process and also, possibly, make a demo next month... it just depends on the weather. Also, a huge thanks to everyone who went out and made our first few weeks of sales in stores really, really strong! You are keeping us afloat. It totally sucks ass that we have sold around 7000 CD’s on our own without any of them being sound scanned but hey... what are 7000 more purchased in stores? Make us happy kids and go buy our CD again and again. It means the world to all of us. Next, if you get a chance, pick up the latest issues of Metal Maniacs and Metal Hammer we got some very nice reviews in both!! Thank you, Guy, for helping us on that one and also for just being a bro in general. Finally, keep the merchandise orders coming!! We definitely need the money to stay afloat until we can get back on the road again. Speaking of which, we have some BIG tour plans ahead of us after the New Year... a start to the world domination plan. In the meantime, brush the dirt off your shoulders and keep rocking our CD while you crush invalids on Halo 2!!!

PSYOPUS tour update from Chris:
This is Chris from PsyOpus. Things are going great. We are on tour with Paria right now and things are going pretty smoothly at this point. We have a new drummer named Lee Fisher (ex - Commit Suicide). Greg's life was leading down a path separate than that of a drummer who could dedicate himself to the beaten path of constant touring. We separated on good terms. Lee kind of got involved into a rushed scenario. He had short notice and we really didn't want to cancel the dates we had with Paria. We played a few rocky shows at the beginning. We took two days off, put our talents to the grind, and now he is totally up to par and mixing up our set with his amazing skills.

As far as other tours go, we are doing some dates in December about to be announced and last I heard we are going to be doing dates with Glass Casket in Jan. And yes… there will be west coast dates… finally.
