if any of the bands can share gear this night it would help out a bunch... i had a problem with the exits being blocked on my last show & the club wants me to only have 5 bands on shows now but i'm keeping all 6 bands on this show because its to close to the show to tell a band they cant play. if anybody can share gear it will just make things easier for everyone and the bands wont have to load out right away when they are done. if not i totally understand and just be prepared to take your gear out when your set is done. load in is 6:30pm....call me if your gonna be late 401-301-6716.

ascendancy: I ran in at the last minute to get their last song or two. This was my first time seeing them with out mike on 2nd guitar. I thought that it wouldn't really matter (as with a lot of bands who don't know how to actually use 2 guitars), but at this venue it definitely did. I expecially noticed it on the new track "spite". a lot of the awesome riffs in that track simply need a second guitar to fill in behind them. it seems like the chemistry was just off, too. I hope it was just for this night. please, any hyper-fast guitarist, get with these guys. the other bands with only one guitar cab really sounded quiet too. on a positive note, josh is singing more. this mixture of both vocals made them sound like impaled. I wish I was there for the song that he got to do more vocals on, but I missed it and only heard about it.
feed us fetus: each time I see them, I swear they sound different. this time, the vocalist, jay, sounded exactly like joey's old vocals in In Dire Need. As a mater of fact, the whole set was a lot more chuggy and the last one that was a slow, mosh break down was completely in the IDN vain. in slowly chugged down with pauses in between that we some so long you could tell a joke... and the singer did. 1/2 the crowd wanted to eat a fetus, but they were never told to.
clitorture: these guys were the reason that I decided to head down to the show )no offence to any other band). I like to come out and support all the [good] NY bands when they play in this area. in so many ways, they stole the show. I would definitely say that they were the first of the night band to steal the show. they started off and you could barely hear the guitar and the drums were way way too low. both the guitar cab and the drumset were borrow. after a song, the guitar was turned up, but could have gone up twice as loud (or had a 2nd cab on the other side of the stage). you could also watch the drummer thinking a lot as he played. I'm guessing he was trying to remember where things were on this borrowed set. there was much head banging, a little moshing, and all around and awesome set. they sent a song out to everyone (including me and the "old lady" hahahahah) and even gt to play an encore.
porphyria: yeah, way to grow your hair out tim. they were the second band to steal the show. an awesome set like they normally do. seemed like a lot of people came out to see just them. I heard probably 20 times "time for the mosh".
teratism: when they were setting up, I thought that there was going to be no one there.. the club looked bare, but I would have been wrong to think that. they COMPLETELY stole the show. as they played, the whole floor filled in and people were head banging some moshing about. If they played for 5 minutes long the everyone in the place would have broken their necks headbanging.
leukorrhea: again, I thought that there was going to be no one there for them, but then after a few beats, people came back in. Leukorrhea seems to get the "shaft" a lot since they typically headline and people are lame and leave before the headliner plays. they had a bassplayer who I swear could be a fill in for the singer from sik fuk. At first all the levels were all messed up, but I actually told the sound guy what to do and I can only assume that he listened to me cause it all came together after one song. Nate's vocals are approaching cattle decapitation, they got more and more like a pig being butchered. also, how funny was that rim shot done with triggered drums!

I arrived on time, like a true death metal fan.
I think Ascendancy's older songs sound lacking, but I don't think the new songs matter as much with them as a 3 piece. The dual vocals are great. Ascendancy YEAH!
I missed Feed us Fetus because we had to get hot dogs, arrived back just in time for Clitorture who definately need a bassist or second guitarist. Fun band though, it was my second time seeing them, and the other time was along time ago.
Porphyria is straight forward death metal, with Vanilla Ice's little brother as the singer. Good vocalist for sure, but needs to pull up his pants. Probably the tightest band of the night, some of their songs have really catchy riffs, YEAH!
Teratism was the funnest band of the night, but I couldn't hear Scott's vocals at all. My legs really hurt though, so I sat down by the side of the stage. I was pretty tired by this point. I like that song about picnics.
Leukorrhea is pretty heavy, Nate has a sick voice. I can't really get into them too much though, it gets kind of monotonous to me. We left after 5 songs because we needed sleep.
It was a fun time, I wanted to introduce myself to Chris A-Bomb, but the music between bands was louder then the bands themselves, so I kept having to go outside to hit on Moe.

we fucking missed ascendancy, well tim got to see them cause he drove down in his own car (smart move). I was ready to leave my house at 5, but my band didn't get here until 6. gay. I guess the road to my house was all pot holes. We got lost a little bit after circling around to get back onto empire st.
feed us fetus: much sicker with 2 guitar players! joe looks fucking sick when he plays it makes me want to stab everything.
clitorture: This was my 3rd time catching these guys, saw em at the block, and on Rev's show. Some awesome riffs El Justin writes. Vocalist is sick as well and has a good personality in between songs. hahah.
us: I had a great time, suprising crowd response. The results of this show definetly made up for the show we played last week. Awesome kids.
Teratism: Finally we played a show together after months and months of shows. 2nd time seeing them, and they ripped it up! Facken blue let rob use his pod which was super nice of him. \m/
Leukorrhea: Sounded really sick, nate's vocals are still nasty. I think Agethis may have turned up a bit too loud cause when I was up front all I could hear was him. Drums sounded awesome too!
Awesome show, thanks to chris for putting some great bands on it. Hopefully we see a bunch of you at the goratory/leukorrhea/pillory show which will be super fun. Drive home sucked, I took 93n instead of going through boston and apparently 93 was closed as you got near boston so they basically just throw you into the middle of the city. Luckily I know my way around so we were able to get out after a few turns and a few looks at some ghetto dance chicks with the doors locked.

yup, so i got there 2 hours before the show started, and here i thought i was gonna be late heh
Ascendancy- still kick ass, i didn't lose anything faith in these boys, new songs were tight and sounded great with a 3 piece, matt and i were singing "Conquering the Inferior" all the way home
Feed us Fetus- kept me laughing and i enjoyed them throughout there set, their bassist is awesome, for a weird reason he reminds me of one of those spider-vampires in Soul Reaver
Porphyria- what can i say that hasn't already been said? great band, i can't wait for the album, i'd say the tightest band of the night, tom dominates on guitar
Clitorture- holy fuck, these guys are awesome, i had no idea what to expect, completely blew me away, can't wait to see them again
Teratism- duel vocals were awesome, guitars were tight, i loved how they kept on looking at each other in amazement, like "Whoa..." easly the most enjoyable band of the night
Leukorrhea- loved the new songs, that solo that Anthony pulled off (i think it was the third song?) blew my mind, solos rule, and this night needed some! job well done fellow cape codders \m/

I'll give a dumb review pretending like I know something
missed Ascendency
Feed us Fetus was good. I'm not into their style, but the vocals were good and the bass player falling into the drums was key. I approve
Clitorture played a quick set (in my opinion). The best song they played was the encore. I kinda forget where I was at this point...sry, but I remember liking them. Some goof riffing.
Porphyria played. I finally got to fucking see them. Everytime I get something blocking me. But not last night. Awesome. The headbanging was a ball.
Then we had Teratism. I'd heard them before a few times so I knew what to expect. Killer double screams. Mass Death gets my nod of approval. I liked
The Leukorrhea ended with a good set. It sucked my neck was killing me at this point. I got them to mention Death Without Weeping, so that was all I needed, lol. Good set. Awesome Vital Remains and Testament shirts worn by the guitarists. I would have liked more soloing. But thats just me. Still a good time. It'll be a good time in Natick on the 26th, Goratory, DWW, Porphyria, these guys...oh man. Party afterwards. We're all going to get drunk and play metal. Probably won't get laid, but still, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

i've gotta talk more about Ascendancy. I've been really curious about how they would sound as a 3 piece, and i don't wanna rush to judgement (seen em as a 4 pc tons, 3 pc once), but i gotta say i think they sounded alot better. no offense to mike, i love the kid. they lost that whirlwind affect, but Terence's distortion sounds SO much better alone and undiluted. I could hear alot more of what he was playing, the bass was seriously up front and really helped drive the songs, I could hear Seth's kit better, and the new dual vocals were FUCKING GREAT!!!! yeah the older songs sound alittle different, will take some getting used to, but the newer songs and the future ones are on a newer, higher level. I really think this band just got better.

thanks for the kind words Rob, everyone there last night said we sounded better then ever, and much more clearer. Well, if there was a lesson to learn, I guess I missed it since we're doing fine as a 3 piece, if not better. Pretty much everyone missed us, which is cool, it was an awesome show nonetheless. Thanks to all the other bands, who were all awesome, and to Chris for having us.

feed us fetus - i definetly agree with aaron, the vocals were super idn, but the music was techier. i definetly enjoyed them a lot.
clitorture - my boys back in new england tearing it up once again. awesome set. it was great watching crow run around moshing it up all while doing vocals. they better start playing 'wasted,' or im gonna get pissed.
porphyria - wonderful as usual, slimlined drumkit and everything. tom was sooo drunk on stage, i was laughing like crazy. but seriously, super tight set and im loving the new songs.
teratism - rob was out one pod pro, and i just so happened to have mine in my car, so i was glad to let him make use. fantastic set like always, people shouldve been dancing like fucking crazy for these guys.
leukorrhea - definetly the best ive seen them. at first, you couldnt hear anything, but then everyone turned up their amps and it sounded wonderful. good to see people sticking around for them.
but i hope we all learned a valuable lesson today: if youre the sole guitarist in a band, use 2 cabs dammit!

since the death of the met/lupos, chris and you only did a couple shows which were bigger tours. Yes, I had fun at the vital remains show, but it was a bigger tour. Lately, chris has started up with a vengence, putting on a show with tons of locals just about every other week. what you heard was 2nd hand and probably from someone drunk/stoned. My gf was standing right there and she didn't know what you are talking about.
