"We're entering the studio this April with Ken Susi/Unearth to record our first Demo/EP. We have heard his work with other bands that we're good friends with and know what he is capable of producing. It's a mutual feeling between us and Ken that he can deliver the sound we're looking for. He's a rad guy and we're looking forward to working with him when he gets back from tour in a few months!"
We'll have 5 days to bust out 6 songs, more if we need it..

Let me know about your buddy who is doing the mastering. I would be interested to know what he charges, etc. I like the way our recording came out, but would like to get a little more punch out of the guitars and kicks. I currently hate most of our songs, so I'm hoping some remaster work will rekindle my confidence in the tracks.

yeah, we'll see what happens andy. Nothing is set in stone as far as mastering goes. I think the laz recording came out pretty well. The only thing that was a bit off was the kick drum sound.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I agree about the kick sound -- I really want a good sound for the kicks -- Nick's feet are super fast and really tight with the riffs and I really want that accented in the mix. Anyway, good luck in the studio, can't wait to hear it.

the Invocation mix would work fine with any death band, i don't think he will have a problem with a death mix at all.
