I HEAR BY PROPOSE THAT THERE BE MORE UPSTAIRS PALLADIUM SHOWS! Seriously, downstairs is cool and all but the atmosphere, sound and essence of the upstairs will never be topped. Most of the most memorable shows I've seen have been there and it was a pleasure to return back to the joint for an amazing show. Shit I remember when Reverend would stand in front of me in 2000 snapping away on a little digital camera leaving myself asking myself "who is this hippy in front of me"... oh far we've come and how much this scene has grown \m/
Misery Index - Gawd damn. Aside from being at the top of my list for most quality fuckers in metal, these boys delivered strongly, as always. Their new 2nd guitar player is pissah. Adam is apparently very comfortable behind the kit and Jason and Spahhhhhhky are always top notch and fired up. I hope these dudes get to come around again in the summah, it's always a pleasure rocking out with them.
Cattle Decapitation - Fucking sick! One of the more interesting bands I've encountered in the past year or so. I dig the musiciainship, I like the bass playah alot too. I still don't own an album but never stops me from banging my head like wild child. Sick set nonetheless, people were fired up!
Behemoth - Fuck. You know these dudes never really deserved much love at the PVD show a year or so ago and tonight they reigned like gods. I was upstairs shooting the shit with folk when I heard everyone chanting, sure enough when I ran down I picked up on some more chants...until the set was ovah! UGH such a sick band fuck, one of the greatest European bands ever and still no one never gives them enough credit! I couldn't get over how much everyone got into that set. I say it alot but this time I really mean it ONE OF THE BEST SETS I'VE EVER SEEN.
Suffocation - The pit was rippin it up, yo. It was mint to see a wicked in your face band like suffo tear it up in the upstairs, it complimented the energy so well. Thrones of Blood was fucking sick. I admit that I walked out too early cause i was passing out flyers plus I was cocked and still am so oh well. I love Suffocation, I happy as shit they're back with a vengenace.

devil inside: the last time I saw them, they were at the end of the rope with the members that left; the energy level was lacking and all. Now, as a 5 piece with a new drummer and singer, they had soooo much more energy and were moving around a lot. The new singer was sort of like phil anselmo mixed with the old singer of FASSW.
misery index: they rocked. the entire front row was people head banging. Very warm reception to say the least. These guys need to I need to get that new ep too... Basically, they played all of their hits and a couple new tracks. I'm not sure who the ne guy is.. but people yelled "deprecated" and he does look like one of the guys in deprecated....
cattle decapitation: disgusting once again. they sounded awesome. someone on the stage kept farting so the singer was cracking up the whole set. they played a new song and a bunch off humanure, plus a song in spanish. Seeing them again on sunday too. If one more person talk about how amazing the guitar player's rig was...
behemoth: holy crap! very punishing. Face paint and all the polish head banging a person could need. I was shocked cause they actually had some samples that they kicked off. they were talking all sorts of crazy Polish in between the set. The side of the crowd had a bunch of guys yellin "white power"... anyhow, they played all the tracks off the new CD that I liked.
suffocation: well, with 70 minutes, you can basically mention a song and they played it. (personally pierced from with in is one of my favs). mullens really seemed like he was enjoying himself. I think this is probably the most "intimate" show they have played since getting back together.
I saw so many people that I haven't seen for a while. it rocked. Especially considering there were 2 other "rttp" shows going on on this fine night. w00tage!

This show was great, even though i missed misery index and most of cattle decap's set (gotta love friday night band practice) I was not really into behemoth's set, i like the demigod cd much better, + i was too busy chattin w/ rob about whoremastery Vol.II . The place was packed, $4 beers , oh yeah. I shoulda bought that suffo skullcap, i kick myself now. Suffocation was great, i used jessica as a drum pad(sorry jess- i love suffocation) for their whole set. It was fucking freezing outside, shoving flyers in peoples faces "go to this skinless show damit".

So yah, that show was super fun. Got there, saw some peeps I know. For the first three bands, we were kicking it atop, with a nice view. My second time seeing Misery Index, but first time seeing them without being a douche, and I loved it. I must pick up the LP. Cattle Decapitation were way better then I expected. I was always sort of unimpressed when hearing their stuff, but it was all made ten times better live. Funnies too. I went down to the front to kick it with Behemoth. Me and my friends were all krooning over mr drums alot. Chanting and banging and going grrrrrrr to parts I knew. I was wishing they were louder or something, because some key parts of songs didn't really come to me as would of hoped of. Suffocation slayed. Best of the 4 times I've seen them, mostly because the upstairs rocks so much.
