02.12.05 THE HOUND, TRINITY TEST, RAISING KUBRICK, STEEL RAIN[views:7034][posts:47][show listing] ____________________________________ [Feb 3,2005 8:43pm - Rets_Nomrev ""] Hey, sat. feb. 12th (amidst the barrage of other awesome shows) there will be an awesome show @ the library in allston. The Hound (no website having slack asses) Raising Kubrick (www.raisingkubrick.cjb.net) Trinity Test (www.trinitytest.com) Steel Rain (www.steelrainmetal.com) (band order TBA ... suggestions welcome) The show will start promptly @ 7pm and I highly reccomend coming on time because Steel Rain will probably open the show and they are totally ill. (check out the steel rain mp3's on their website ... it's worth it) I'm imagining an aproximate 5$ cover ... though this has not been set in stone. If I left out any vital info, feel free to ask questions. Hope to see some folk there. |

| ______________________________ [Feb 13,2005 3:48pm - blue ""] damn, this show was the fucking balls. thanks to doug from the hound for setting it up, and to jonah who provided us with a wonderful venue. every band was sooo good. i thought we played pretty sloppily, but everybody was having such a great time that it didnt even matter. the hound was so much better than the last time i saw them, and they were damn good then. hopefully we will get to play the library sometime again soon. |

That night was great. Moshing until the extension cords came undone, being on one end of dueling walls of death, people showing up that I haven't seen since high school, throwing my jacket over the PA head to deflect flying beer, lots of ladies in the pit throughout the night and TWO heavy bands with excellent female vocalists and no one making a big deal (positive or negative) about it--just everyone letting loose while having respect for each other and the space, taking our new van out for the first time, tasteless jokes and Neil Diamond sing-a-longs because there's no radio, meeting new people and the inevitable figuring out of when our paths crossed years ago in suburban punk bands, getting helpful feedback on new material, bands excited to meet and talk to each other after the room cleared out. This was what it's about. Thanks to Doug and Jonah for setting things up and to everyone that added part of themselves to the night in one way or another. |
