| _____________________________________ [Mar 9,2005 2:50pm - the_reverend ""] the fuji S3 is much better than the S2 (or the s1 for that matter) but there isn't much difference between a $1000 nikon D70 and a $2400 S3 the S3 has: PC Synch for flash (a $19 part for the D70) ISO 100 a 2.0" LCD (the D70 is 1.8") where as the D2X has sooo much more... like the x2 FOV button better metering (3d matrix II) 12MP (s3 and D70 and D100 are 6.1mp) 2.5" LCD 5fps and 8fps modes advanced NR Solid Magnesium alloy body and a bunch of other things. |

| _____________________________________ [Mar 9,2005 3:16pm - the_reverend ""] I would say that the D70 is better for the $$$. the only thing that is has over the D70 is the built in vertical grip. if you need the vertical grip... the nikon D2H (4.1MP) is going for about $2K on ebay now. and then a SB-800Dx flash ($300) If I had the money, I might get rid of my D70 and get a D2H.. granted the D2Hs is coming out next month.. but it's going to be $3400. if it were $2K, I would sell the bonds that I have and get the D2Hs. since it's $3400 for 4.1MP... or $5K for 12Mp and it's imaginary $$ right now, I would go with the D2X |
