Amebix Appreciation Thread[views:5256][posts:13]___________________________________ [Mar 25,2005 11:13pm - malettey ""] Somebody made a Discharge appreciation thread, and I figured as long as we're paying tribute to 80's hardcore, Amebix is certainly another great band worth mentioning; if you've never heard of them, they were one of the first crust punk bands. They broke up in 1987. Their musicianship was surprisingly good, and their singer sounded like a perfect cross between Lemmy (Motorhead) and Chronos (Venom). These brits fucking rocked. I would highly reccomend their last album "Monolith", if you can find it anywhere (ebay.com has some copies). |
