I don't think any one of us has ever listened to emo at all (ever) so I think we'd be hard-pressed to come up with something emo... Just so that this isn't some random rumor I might as well make a semi-official statement about this: More news will be coming down the line but, in short, after we release and support SANITY'S ABERRATION (May 9th 2005, @ Middle East Upstairs w/ Cephalic Carnage) there will be changes for the band. It doesn't really seem like it but the three of us have been a band together for almost 5 years now and I think we are outgrowing the name "Cryptic Warning" somewhat. We will most likely be changing our name in the next year. |

We will most likely be changing our name in the next year. my band almost went through a name change in mid-2003 after we got rid of our old guitairst. he wanted us to change it, but we couldn't come up with something we really liked, plus the new members thought dreaded silence was a cool name. i had gotten tired of it, felt like we had outgrown it, plus alot of newer bands used some form of the word silence in the years since we started. we decided to keep it, and if we ever evolve into a techno-oompa-jazz band, people will just have to accept the name dreaded silence. |
