holy shit that was a great time. it was a night of 2 piece bands, drummers who do vocals, and armwrasslin'
embludgeonment's drummer was really good, but i couldnt really make out the riffage that well.
we are the greatest band ever. thanks very much to the drummer from HBBSI (his name escapes me at the moment) for being my cymbal stand holder for the evening.
throwing shrapnel and hbbsi both kicked my ass. we definitley need to set up more shows with both of you.
we had to leave after that because ryan had to work, but thanks to all involved in getting us on this show.
i'm surprised my arm is still in its socket.

This is definately one of the best shows we have played, all the bands were amazing, and everyone at the club did the best they could as far as sound. the only gripe I had is tha they charged underage kids 15 bucks at the door, They would have made more money if they had charged 10 or something, but I guess that is something that was set by the owner. all the bands did amazing jobs and we want to thank eberyone who came out and supported the show!

Pissed don't even begin to describe it, bro, I got the brunt of the shit storm because I booked the show,Needless to say I Myself and Anderson did not leave the club til almost 3:30, I just can't believe that when I confronted the as to who was gonna take responsbility for that shit ,The one I talked to was like ,OK lemme go get the rest of the guys or something like that,and went out to the van and they bolted,Oh well fuck them, lesson learned I guess, I hope the appropriate people see this and they find it harder and harder to get shows around here, sucks too cause the band itself(music wise) is killer,But apparently they are a bunch of assholes! I was told by a few people that this happens at alot of there shows,The trashing stage shit,but they played the shelter before and nothing like this ever happened,I personallly will never book them again or suggest them to anyone to be booked. Besides that I was happy with the line up, great show, turnout coulda been better, come on you guys ya had 2 friggin months almost to advertise for this one. I got to see a few new sick bands. Exploding christ was awesome,HBBSI was friggin insane,Throwing shrapnel was killer as always(Thanks for the cookies btw).Emblugeonment was amazing for just the 2 of them.HCN, what can I say,you guys saved my ass,If it was not for you guys , the show woulda bombed even further cause no one woulda been there to begin with.(steve ,I got a bone to pick with you,kid). good times! it was nice seeing some new bands, i think all the bands were very good, bummer about s@tsf trashing the place. hand choke neck ruled the place last night! very sick as usual(even thought you all were trashed lol), i loved the 2 new songs. good to see rev, carina, todd, revs brother. overall a good time, just wish i wasn't so tired. and thanks to steve, my fucking neck is killing me from all the headbanging!

What do you think happens when shaniqua plays? They are the bar as far as wild performance. When we see a crazy band, we say "can they beat Shaniqua?" and the answer is no. I don't care if they only play fucking basements or not at all, you always get your moneys worth (maybe not 15 fucking dollars!) when these guys come to town. I'll always remember doing "Pee on your face" with Kyle from PFAP. It's not the kind of music you nod your head to, more like punch people and fuck underage girls to. Thanks for the memories.

21+ was free, under 21 was $15, I had no control over that ,as far as S&TSF, you guys played there before ,It was the 2nd show I've done with you guys if I remember correctly,And everthing was fine the first show,You did not behave that way at all ,and were all nice to talk to also,But whatever I have no more to say on this situation or the evenings events

I had fun....turnout was kinda lame, which is really unfortunate.
Bands were cool. People were cool. I was wicked cool.
Once I met Kadoogan, I realized his balls outweighed his brawn, and we armwrestled anyway. It was fun, he used 2 hands I think, and Mark-neck also helped Kadoogan, nevertheless, Powerkok pulled out a stunning victory.
An amazing feat indeed.
Now, Im going to do some MMA training. And hopefully not have any bones broken on me.
My goal now is to have at least one pro MMA win by December.
But, I'll take what I can get.

tell me about it dood...lol it usually kills me for a good 2 to 3 weeks, try laying 100 pound 12 inch blocks over your head after arm wrestling.
i used to have a 2nd job at a biker bar, and my dad worked there too, he would make me armwrestle everyone there all the time, and i'd suffer all day the next day lol

I feel bad for Todd cause he's a real good dude and he does a lot to help out bands with shows up at the BS.
I can say this though...the dudes in Shaniqua ARE nice guys. Serj isn't a bad dood either but he has done some real sketch stuff to bands and also done weird stuff with booking shows. I think if it was up to Todd how the BS was run it would be a sick ass club but it's not and unfortunately he gets part of the backlash just for working there.
Serj doesn't understand what people want from the place and I think that got to shaniqua. Myself and other people we know have had equipment ruined by the faulty wiring; he doesn't promote shows well enough to reach a mass audience; he doesn't listen to the bands OR audience members for suggestions about what could improve the place...and other things. That doesn't mean I don't like Serj or the BS -- I've had some great times playing there. But I do think it made the guys in shaniqua feel some animosity towards it all and I think they let loose a little more than usual.
It's also true that when you have them play a show it's worth knowing there's gonna be carniage. I did a show at the Summit Cafe with them once and they all wore hula dancer gear...they fucking went berzerk and were kicking speakers and throwing stuff. That's their thing, and Josh from the Summit knew what to expect before we booked them just so he'd be prepared. It's part of their shtick.
So on the one hand, I'm saddnened that Todd got in trouble for the whole thing, but on the other I know what will happen when the Skullfuckers come around and I'm not only not surprised, I'm appreciative that they haven't become a timid boy band. I don't think they should have to pay for any damages (fuck, I mean, what if everyone sent Serj a bill for the dirty power fucking up amps?) but I think other bands that play there shouldn't follow Shaniqua's example; respecting venues is where it's at.

it's frying them I think...at least with mine. It made my amps do this really bad hum thing and time I was there it made a SNICKITYSNICKITY sound and then my head went dead. I had to borrow Dan Poulin's head to do our set. There was some melted stuff and other things in my head when I opened it up. I don't think the BS was totally responsible for the head dying, but I know straight out that that place has lots of electrical problems and it is very dangerous to use an expensive head there without a cleaner.
I would recommend anyone get a cleaner and at LEAST a surge protector for that place if you like your gear.
it also depends on which outlet you use on the stage. I dunnow, I feel like serj should just invest in a Monster power cleaner for $200. They are industrial strength and he won't have to worry about anyone complaining or liability for any equipment or anything.
