One of my bands are looking for a good place to record a demo, within boston area.

I understand all i have to do is walk in any music store and there will be around 10 different fliers for places. But i don't want to choose a place at random, so im asking you wise old metalheads for help.

The style of the band is power/thrash with german styled thrash vocals, with some chipmunk squeals thrown in for shits and giggles.
i dunno is that matter or not.

If it's thrash, Oscar from Beyond The Embrace probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

For demos, you should definitely go to deadair studios. It's in Amherst, MA. It's $20 an hour and is run by Will Killingsworth from Orchid/Bucket Full of Teeth and it sounds real fucking mean and dirty. He's really cool to work with and its a cool environment too. When we did our first demo there, Drew Jurgens from Relapse (currently heading up the new Lifeforce Records, American division), said the production was "fucking ridiculous."

We did 5 songs in one day for about 15 hrs and loved it.

Holbrook is indeed full of mutants, plus the place is a 46 second walk from my house so if you need a clean bathroom you can come over. I will buy pie.
