I mean the Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based on a true story, but if you look into the whole Ed Gein story, it's pretty far off. It sure made for an entertaining movie though. The new Amityville Horror sure did not. |

Turns out, and this is crazy, but my grandfather on my Dads side, was the warden at Greenhaven prison, where Butch Defeo is incarcerated, at the time of his arrest. Thats pretty fuckin neat, also I used to live across a feild from Greenhaven in Stormville NY....So, in essence I was neighbors with Butch Defeo. |

They are full of shit tho. Theres been at least 3 other families there since, with NO strange stuff happening to ANY of them. And the house IS still there, but they changed the number supposedly to deter tourists, however, a mapquest search, some real pics of the house (newly renovated...no more 'eye' windows...they were replaced with regular windows), and my knowledge of the area, I could find it. We may go do that this summer for shits and giggles. |
