Century Child is awesome, but my favorite is Once. If you don't have Once, I strongly strongly recommend it. Pk, I gotta disagree. I can see where you get the Rammstein, cause the guitar riffs are very chuggy sometimes, but aside from that, they aren't like Rammstein at all, and the only similarity they have with Evanescence is that there is that both groups have a female vocalist. Their voices sound nothing alike, and the music is very very different. Of course, all power to you though if you don't like them: Nightwish is definitely one of bands where I can easily see why someone wouldn't like them. I just think you could have chosen better examples of bands to compare them to :spineyes: |

When people hear music that they really like for the first time, sometimes it can have an effect that they later realize was little over dramatized. I, however favor more dramatic and operatic Metal bands. Hence my love for Opeth and the likes, as I'm sure he'll agree. I really fell in love with this album completely. The fucking Phantom of the Opera is downright amazing. I just happen to enjoy that type of metal a bit more than PK does. He's the eviler of the Hand Choke Neck guitar twins. If it were up to him, my fingers would bleed all over my guitar frets and strings like they did last night at practice EVERY NIGHT...... Nightwish rules......I am truly amazed and will follow Retzams advice and immediately run out and buy "Once." |

I gotta say that this is the thickest, fullest sounding recording that I own. They cover every musical aspect of composition and keep the songs catchy as hell. This great shit. They have officially made my Top 10 favorite bands of all time list......right up there with Opeth and Type O Negative. |
