I remember when O'Brien's used to be cool about the door policy ... Dave from CW and I got into a Kalibas/Commit Suicide show there when we were like 16...

hekseri: it started off really shakey... the sound mix made the first two song sound horrible. all there was were vocals blasting out from the PA. it hurt my ears. then from the second song on, it ruled. Larissa's gore talking was hilarious cause she would say something like
"this is about eating a baby's heart out" - sounding like matt (exhumed)
"we love you larissa" - random crowd person
"I love you too" - larissa in her librarian's voice.
this was their debut and they ended it awesomely. seth was in the back on drums... at one point hitting both of the cymbols and grabbing them with the same hand. PeganMegan looked seriously nervous about being on stage. after a couple songs, she loosened up and got into character.
witchtomb: I thought it was going to sound just like hirudinea since it's got 2/3 of its members from it. it was a lot different. not as noise, more death metal. the bass player was either crazy or wasted. not sure which. their set was wicked short too.
one master: they took a little while to setup. I think that they were having technical difficulties. then again, I was in a hurry to leave. I was told they sounded like bathory, but then the first couple songs didn't really sound like it. the vocals were off. then they went more into bathory like stuff, but I had to jet.

Herkseri was fucking awesome. I was entertained from start to finish. Everyone in that band has so much charisma. I've been looking forward to seeing them play for awhile and it was well worth the wait. I look forward to seeing them again sometime, hopefully soon.
Witch Tomb sounds so fucking much like Profanatica/Havovej, it's fucking awesome. I saw them in the winter in weymouth but i was too drunk to remember. This was a swift kick to the face, good job, Strep Cunt is fucking awesome on the bass as well. Play longer next time, assholes.
One Master had incredibly dominating guitars/bass. I couldn't hear the snare that much, which sucks cause it sounded like he was blasting a tempo I was already in love with. They sound like Immortal and Satyricon Nemesis Devina style. A terrific assaulting barriage of terror.
Liz's party was a wild time. Thank you daaahlin for buying some grub and beer! I wish I shoulda took a picture when we started the grill, took forever, someone lit it up hard and that shit fired up wild. I was inebriated completly by 11. I passed out and most of the people left. Fun fun fun. We gotta have more nights like that!!!

Hekseri was so fuckin killer. Incredible stage presence. Ripped me to shreds. You know I'm awaiting a recording with Seth on the war hammers. I want to play shows with them often. Very appropriate.
Witch Tomb - We had more planned but I believe Mike broke a couple strings. Aaron -- I make an effort not to be too wasted while playing.
One Master - Kind of wish I didn't miss them now, as I love Bathory/Satyricon style. Was starting the drink with Beelzebob, Ben and Degeneres Syndrome.
After: I felt like I was being driven around in circles by a number of people until I got to the party. Then it was metal haven. Every room there was metal going on, I really appreciated that, as I usually hate parties. Josh was the ultimate grill master. Hearing Emperor, Mayhem, Maiden, Turbonegro, Sepultura, etc... the best.
Thanks Liz for the show and the party/bbq. I had a great time.

aaron, witch tomb has a demo in the form of a 4 way split cdr with ninnixu/burning winds/witch tomb/aiwass. i will hook you up with a copy when i make more. it was recorded on a four track but it sounds pretty good.
the hirudinea stuff is getting finished tonight. i'm very happy with the way it is turning out. it is by far the best recording i have been a part of.
