Sting vs. Sting (half performance art half ass kicking)[views:2494][posts:8]_________________________________ [May 3,2005 2:51pm - brian_dc ""] Sting vs. Sting Basically the bassist in my real band and I came up with this ridiculous idea that seems cooler and cooler the closer we both get to death. Basically, it's all for the live show. We have a cardboard cutout of Sting the musician and a cutout of Sting the pro wrestler. Big ol' "VS." in between them... in front of that, one of those minature wrestling/boxing rings. We place a variety of action figures in interesting positions between each songs. Also, a mini light show will accompany (lights focused on cutouts and action figures)...band plays behind a curtain or facing backwards or whatever is reasonable. Musically, I don't know...does it really matter? We have bass and guitar, maybe add a bongo player or drums I guess...one of those little rods that makes sound based on how close your hand is to it...Nightmare Bear uses it...and maybe a cello or something stupid like that. The only essential metal/hardcore influence that this project will have is the random use of gang vocals. Lyrics all quotes from Sting and Sting.
