____________________________________ [May 16,2005 7:01pm - El Justin ""] i think it's cool, it's different definitely but i like |
______________________________________ [May 16,2005 7:06pm - the_reverend ""] I tried downloading it, but the site won't let me. how can I listen to it if I can't download it? |
_____________________________________ [May 16,2005 8:23pm - dug-a-hole ""] I'll have to agree with Mr. Disco on this one. But then again, it's pretty much a different band at this point in my opinion. |
_________________________________ [May 16,2005 9:25pm - Paulll ""] Alright I love dehumanized always have and live they are amazing. However the main problem with the new tracks are definatly the vocals and yes it does have a big metalcore sound to it. The drumming is awesome per usual and its played mad tight. But I definatly dug the slams a lot more on prophecies. This doesnt mean im not gonna support the band. I definatly consider them still an awesome band. |
___________________________________ [May 17,2005 12:03am - Kalopsia ""] well paull my question is what problems do you see with the vocals? as for the breakdowns, i honestly agree with you guys. yes i like Man Vs. Man. i think it's a great song. but it's definately a metalcore breakdown. i don't know how to justify it, and i can't say anything because i'm not one of the contributing song writers in the band. we have 6 completed new songs now, and those are only 2. all songs vary in tempo, feel, key, so all i can say is wait and see. |

______________________________________ [May 17,2005 12:48pm - ghumanized ""] These tracks are not for DOWNLOAD....they are strictly for listening to on the myspace page so Mike you will not be changing it. as far as the vocals.....we are happy with them- this time around I didnt want to go for the super deep guttural vocals I wanted something with a lil more edge to it becuz I wanted to stand out as a band not to continue being labeled as a suffocation clone or what not. Now the so called METALCORE breakdowns are still breakdowns so what is the problem? when death metal bands started doing breakdowns in the beginning it was considered hardcore breakdowns .....now we write a decent breakdown and we get thrown to the METALCORE breakdown category..... all in all if you take a good listen and even time some of our new songs you would think we are a grindcore band. Our approach to writing songs are totally different to what they were....We want songs that are short and to the point we dont want to be playing a set of 5 min songs we want a 10 - 11 song set of 3 min songs. ultimately i thank everyone for the critiqueand the support it helps us grow as a band and I want to continue to entertain the masses for as long as this lasts. |
