Doom Riders opened the show, they were pretty good but slightly over rated. I don't doubt their crowd likes the music, but I think it goes beyond that and into the fact it's a Converge side project. If it was just about the music, Continued Without A Finding would have all their fans and then some. Disapearer played second, and was way different then what I remember from when they played with High on Fire in december, particularly I thought they had vocals. They were good as well, but not much dynamic to them that alot of other bands in that style seem to have. Akimbo came highly recomended to me, didn't sound like what I thought they would, but were fucking awesome. I heard from their old label guy that Alternative Tentacles picked them up, which is awesome! I got both their CDs, I wish I could see them and Conifer together. Akimbo is a sort of sonic prog-hardcore band. Check them out. Transistor Transistor headlined and were also great. I had heard the name before, but didn't know they were local. I want to get this band onto some shows. They were sort of similiar to Akimbo, but with a metal touch. Great stuff. I think them and Kevorkian's Angels would be a great match up.
