My first time to this venue. it was like the palladium except the place was all renovated and looked really nice. it's normally a dance club. This was basically 2 shows tossed together. 1) a adult-rock gone alt-rock radio station 2) a typically awesome ogre show. farwell radience: I think this is the band with a conection to calx in ruin. I really can't say how they were cause I ran in during their last song. state of fate: very god smack-y. I'm not a fan of nu-metal so it wasn't my bag. though there were plenty of 10 year olds wearing their "citizen of the state" shirts. I have a feeling that you are going to see the members of this band in awesome bands in 3 years. [band=suffer_system]: I saw them aloooooong time ago. back before they were like they are. this band takes the old [band=corpse_of_christ] members with them now. The first song they played was really good. it mixed [band=cannibal_corpse] riffs in really nice. after that, there were too many sing-songy vocals for me. hot black: odd band name since none of them is black. it was bar rock. I think that they would do well in in a downtown with people drinking lots of beer. hyper solid: their screaming vocals were a lot better than I thought that they would be. monestly, I thought they were going to be a hippie band. some stuff sounded like all that remains and at others iron maiden.. but there was an over ton to the music that reminded me of the judas priest tracks that I don't like. the room: it was like the theme music to a room that I would like to have spent time in. swill merchants: it was at this point that I realized something. I wasn't quite sure if these bands were actually doing this music seriously or if they were a joke/parody of a real band. they had that cocky rockstar additude on stage. for humanity's sake, I'm going to give it the benifit of the doubt and guess that it was a parody. if not, the consiquences could be dire... dire.... ps: off stage, they didn't act cocky (unlike the singer of arab on radar who is always cocky). shoot to kill: possibly one of the most hilarious things I've seen. a small crowd, sing-along hardcore band on this stage. the siger kept asking for "more brutal smoke" and at one point for the lights to start flashing and everything. It was hilarious cause they got blanketed in thick smoke. they had a rapping part to one of their songs. I guess since madball stopped rapping, someone needed to pick it up. another reason that you could see that this wasn't another one of "the" bands cause the video taping guys didn't come out for them what a shame. there was only one or two fights during their set with only one kid getting kicked out. they fake ended with a cromags track. outfall: well, let's just say that the video guys came out... and the singer had a rush shirt on. it sounded mostly like a bad version of live. I guess matt from shadows fall spent the whole winter producing their cd. I'm sure the middle aged radio crowd will love it. once beloved: these guys weren't too bad. it was mostly heavy with some singing parts that I didn't like. there was a wicked sic push pit during them that made me laugh. I didn't know that push pits still existed. oh and they have joel's (killswitch engage) brother in the bamd. looks just like a mini-version of him. tempus mori: not video cameras. they were like once beloved, a lot fo heavy stuff with only some singing parts that I didn't like. I think that I remember them being good at fat cat's. m.o.v.: video cameras. I forget what this stands for by something.. er.. not really good. radio rockish, like god-smack or limp biscuit. under falling skies: video cameras. they were a lot better than mov music wise, but still not my bag. they started off with some percussions that sounded like slipknot, but then they shifted into something that sounded an awefully lot like tool. they did have something with the vocals though that I liked... the harmonizing between the girl and the guy was nice. legia: when did legia become bleeding through. their stage presence on that big stage was bumped up 20 notches since the last time that I saw them. the crowd was really into it too, dancing and all. thi band will probably be on the mainstage of the metalfest next year. antilove: hm... why do I remember them being a lot more pussy? they were really good. it was like anterrabea, but with out the pink clothing. vincent from the acacia strain came out and sang during them too. thirty stones: ugh... most definitely the worst band of the night. it was the musical equivalent to slitting my own wrists. If I could go back in time and do something to stop that band from getting to the point where they were playing a show that I attending, I would at almost all costs. diecast: their one show back after the tour in europe to play this one show before they head right back out on the road. their set was the same set they've been playing since before the new CD. the only thing is that the singer didn't go down to the audience at all. that sort of sucked cause it's always fun to get the crowd involved. seemless: well, I'm still not sold on their live show. they play well, but it doesn't come out as good as it does on the CD. I think they played a cover but I forget what it was... I really liked the 2nd song which is my favorite off the cd too. all that remains: this was their DVD shoot. and it was played basically straight through after the mess up in the beginning. they ended pretty abruptly... and didn't play an encore. oh well, it was awesome while it lasted.
