| ______________________________________ [Jun 19,2005 9:17pm - the_reverend ""] into eternity: I think there was only one original members of this band. the vocals have totally changed too. the new clean singer sounded like 3IOB more than IE. still, it was awesome to hear them again. it's been more than 2 years. I think that I was able to sing along with 90% of their set. incantation: this was the last "slower" band of the evening. they had some other guy replacing the normal bass player. that sort of took away from their live set cause the bassplayer is the one that goes crazy. kyle's drumming isn't the fastest in the world, but his sound is really awesome. krisiun: their set was awesome. so many good tracks. It's been a wicked long time since I've seen them, long time since they've played upstairs too. I would have to agree that their set sounded the best and they had largest slection of songs that I knew. hate eternal: I got their new CD a month or so ago.. actually, I got 4 copies of it. but it's chopped into 99 tracks which sucks so I haven't listened to it as much as I would like. their live set is massive. one of the best drummers and one of the best guitarists/writers make them outstanding to see. rutan rolls back and screams, looking like he will suck in the soul of the audience. the bass player is entertaining enough. he was hitting the bowl a bunch of times during their set. |

I was hoping I would have missed them by that point. so boring. krisiun: The guitars weren't even coming out of the left side of the PA speakers for half the set, and were cutting in and out which sucked ass because that's where we were standing. I gotta say I wasn't impressed with the setlist this time around. They played a lot of new stuff, only one track from ageless, a few decent tracks from conquerer's though. I've definetly seen them play with more energy though. The last time Krisiun played upstairs was in June of 2000 with dismember. hate eternal: came out and destroyed everyone! I felt bad because there was hardly anyone there (freaking 10pm on a saturday! fags). There were more people watching us last weekend at the dehumanized show. They were tighter than ever this time around. roddy's drumming is ridiculous. even without the new 2nd guitar player they were suppose to have, erik still carries the entire band especially with his new live rig, ENGL/FRAMUS into 3 cabs. He used the engl and a jcm800 for the newest record. |
