Bands to fill in the open slot? Maybe ABHORRED, GORATORY, HORN OF VALERE (If they wanna come down from RI, I've been really wanting to play with them), PILLORY. These are just my suggestions, but they are all awesome bands who I think maybe havent played Obriens in a while?

Wow. I fell asleep at some point. When I woke up at 7 people were still partying! The show was great. Unfortunately I got to the show late. Stupid traffic! Anyway, the end of the show was a sort of rotating metal jam session. Amazing!!! I can't wait to get to a computer so I can see the pictures. Thanks for coming out and partying everyone!!!

militianary: some very short songs. Some of it sounded like CWAF (go figure with the drummer). there were some other parts that were a lot slower and more sabbathy then remember from the CD.
deathamphetamine: they started out and the first few songs and they were all slow. I was wondering what happen to all their super fast songs. But then they kicked it into high gear after that. Their last song had a cool melodic sound to it too.

cryptic warning: sick live like they are on CD. Unfortunately for everyone else, they play technically awesome which causes people to quit music. at one point something with the guitar or guitar head broke. I think the magical fairies escaped or something.
gut: the last time I saw them, they were doing their CD release with extra memembers n stuff. This time, they seemed a little more rushed/not wanting to play. That was kind of weird. They still played good, but it was loike they didn't have their energy. Maybe it was cause there was a fill in bass player.
bostons' dead all-star: I stand by what I said on the main page (someone repost it here). It was basically a cluster fuck of mixing people on the stage. The only contants were the double dong of joshes (abhorred and adolf satan). Every other position switched up as they mixed it up. Slayer.. Brutal truth... What a jam session.

josh, for the first 15 minutes you were up there, I was like either he's wicked drunk or a wicked shitty guitar player or both.
everything you played I had only the faintest clue what the hell you were playing.
then the guitarist from gut came over, clicked a pedal and you could hear the guitar. I guess whatever that magic pedal was was cutting out all but the low end when you were playing.
after that, your slayer sounded like slayer.

It took me 15 minutes to figure out how to turn on the distortion. I hate using pedals and am used to playing direct through the amp.
Once I realized that amp had no distortion and I HAD to use the pedals everything got fixed.
Before that pedal got hit I was playing totally clean. I'm surprised you could hear it at all.
