the most aggravating thing is the fact that these 14 guys all have the right to a fair trial, and they will probably only get a slap on the wrist. they dont deserve a fair trial. if you commit a crime as vicious as this your rights should be forfeit. that poor girl had no chance to stand a "fair trial" against these guys, and now her life is ruined. public executions are the way to go.

EVERYONE deserves a full trial. Rights should never be forfeit. Don't get me wrong, what these guys did is atrocious to say the least, and I completely agree with you that "fair trials" aren't really "fair" anymore because of judicial bias, money-hungry lawyers, and just downright overall curruption. But everyone needs to be tried. We can't strip people of rights no matter what; the maintainence of our constitutional rights are the only things on which the fate of our country now appears to be hinged. I can't even imagine what would happen if people began to be stripped of these rights.
