Brand new radio show[views:3785][posts:4]____________________________________ [Nov 9,2005 2:22pm - SeedBassist ""] For anyone interested, I just got a timeslot for a radio show on WUML 91.5 FM. It's on Thursdays from 9-11pm, starting tomorrow, and it's a metal show (obviously), no core, no hXe, slam riffs, no 2-steppin, and NO apple grabbin'. The show is called "Heavy as a Really Heavy Thing." Yes, I am a huge SYL fan. So if you arent doing anything, you should check it out. We also stream live on WUML.ORG incase you live far away. Another thing, every week I (Kyle) will be doing a short segment on local and unsigned bands, probably playing a couple songs each week by these bands, depending on how many i have. I already have some Porphyria, Shroud of Bereavement, Seed (my band, and yes......i'm playing my own band on the air :p), Endless Ruin, Rusted Embrace, and a few others. But if anyone wants to send me some songs of their bands they'd like played on the air, just email me at Ksparadis@yahoo.com, or catch me on AIM at "Neverpurified." I'll gladly play your band (as long as it's good heavy shit, but i dont really doubt anybody on here). The only rule is: no swearing. Not my decision, but the FCC is constantly up our asses about it, so if there is, i may have do just do some "creative editing (just putting tiny holes of silence where the swears would be)" |

I have every intention to play every band that sends stuff to me, I can promise you that. The number of bands who send stuff to me will determine how much i play each week, I'll probably play around 2 or 3 "local" artists every week. 1/3 of the show is required to be "new" stuff (stuff less than 3 months old), kind of gay, but what can you do? I'm going to make a big list of bands that are sent to me, along with a check column that shows how many times i've played each band. And i'll try to cycle through the list as best as I can to make sure every artist gets equal amounts of plays. Also, since this is at college, there wont be our show during winter and summer breaks, but we have this timeslot squatted, so every smester there will be our show. |
