Kinda like watching an HD channel on a t.v. that's not set up with HDTV. He scrapped the Tivo and built himself a p.c. box with xp media center. Popped a cable tuner card in, 2 160 gig hard drives, etc... and now he can record shows like tivo, run his remote right through the p.c. He also runs all his music, radio, movies, etc.. throught the box. Try using a barebones kit from shuttle or someone, could probably put the box together for less than $400. |
