PORPHYRIA WELCOMES FOUNDING MEMBER SHAWN MACDONALD BACK TO THE BAND...[views:9790][posts:24]____________________________________ [Dec 8,2005 1:38pm - RustedAngel ""] That's right folks, Shawn has rejoined the band in the form of a 6-string instrument instead of 7. The only difference is he's re-joining on bass instead of guitar. Shawn forced himself to leave the band in April 2005 when his right wrist became problematic when playing guitar. Fortunately he is able to play bass with no negative effect on his wrist. We're really excited to have the founding member of PORPHYRIA back in the band as he's been like an older brother to us since we started. He puts the hammer down whenever we are out of control so to speak. Shawn is just about ready to start playing shows with us and might debut with us next weekend provided he can get the newest song down in time. We would like to thank Nick Avila for all his time/effort for the last few months in PORPHYRIA. He came to his first practice and knew 4 songs without any of us teaching him and it impressed the hell out of us. Nick would make a great addition to any band out there looking for a dedicated bass player who puts his all into playing. Chris, Pete, Moe) ex-Raising Kubrick has been playing 2nd guitar for us and I don't believe we posted any official word on that. He's doing great and only has a few songs left to learn before he's playing a full set with us. He also works at Daddy's Junky Music in Boston accross from Berklee, go harass him and keep him busy. In other news, we're going on tour with Invocation of Nehek (CT) and Left to Vanish (PA) for about 12 dates in January 2006 from 1/3 to 1/14 (NY, OH, MI, PA, CT, NJ) more info about that when we get more confirmation. :satancross: |
